Need to reinstall modem

Do I need a new disk to reinstall...if so where can I get one.I have the SpeedStream4100B modem

    Have you talked over the telephone to the Support Desk of your Internet Service Provider? They can trouble-shoot from their end.

    why you need to reinstall you modem? you forgot your UN or pw?

When you say reinstall modem is it regarding the update of username and password on the modem

If yes then you don't need any disk
Find the reset button at the bottom/behind the modem
Push and hold it for one minute
Then,
Open browser go to 192.168.0.1
Once you enter the modem page you will find the username and password
Update the username and password provided by ISP

Speedstream 4100, can't download internet service cause pc there isn't any modem. The driver Intel R 82562V 10/100 network connection is missing and when i try to download it i can't get it. ...


make sure your its enabled in your bios
during the boot process you will see on your screeen to press acertain key to enter set up press and hold that key to enter set up

using arrow keys navigate to intergrated peripherals press enter look for SiS 10/00 press enter make sure ethernet its enabled
press f10 save to cmos
restrart your computer
if this fails to fix the problem

the driver for this modem should be on the motherboard disk or the disk provided by you ISP internet service supplier

you will have to open up your network connections click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark ! ? you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled or


you could click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager look for network adapters + expand Ethernet driver if you see a yellow question exclamation mark or a red X you will need to update/reinstall the driver for the device if you computer came with a motherboard disk the driver could be on it

the drivers might be installed for this device
click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver

You should not need to run any disk to connect to the modem. Simply connect the ethernet cable to the modem and then to the all-in-one.

Once this is done you should see one of the network connections showing connected.

Also, you most likely checked disk space and not RAM.

I lost the disk for the RCA DCM425 digital cable modem the cable company gave me. how can i get the modem to work on my new computer?


Hello Friend,
If you didn't change anything in modem side, that means the modem is still connected to internet. in this case you can connect the modem to your computer via the Ethernet cable. with this cable you will not need to install anything on your computer, just plug the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and start browsing internet.
The only case when you will need the drivers is when you want to connect the modem to your PC via USB cable.

I lost my install disk for my Conexant CX11252-41Z internal modem. I have searched the web for a driver so that I can install it but all I find is driver robots and scan tools that you need to run and then...


I also had a problem like this when i reinstalled my computer and forgot to make sure that i still had my driver disk.
I had no luck finding a driver as mine was also an oddball brand. I gave up after many hours of searching and just got a new one. This worked out well in the end and it was pretty cheap

Bought new usb zoom external modem for my windows xp


Best thing for you to do is go on the manufacturer site ... of the modem and go under support and download the latest drivers and software for the modem. There has probably been some updates since the modem has been sitting on the store shelf that address your problem installing the software. I hope this helps.

usually with the speedtouch 330s they initally did not like vista, there was a patch that you can get from the speedtouch website, if you can not get the drivers to transfer onto your flash drive, put them onto a cd, or another suggestion is contact your ISP, they may be able to provide you with a new disk or if not push them to get a new modem, say yours has packed up, sounds like either Tiscali, or Homechoice i think that they used them modems, if you threaten to cancel your contract they will bend over backwards for you, lol

Inability to connect to Internet


The easiest solution would be to use an ethernet connection. A second problem is probably on most cable modems you can either use a USB connection OR an ethernet connection you cannoot use both at the same time.
