Yes probably...call Singer and see what they have to offer. Might want to see if you can get the 240 motor and proper wiring for that application too.

SOURCE: My Designer 1 screen is blank.

Phone the technician who worked on your machine previously and tell him/her what has happened. It would appear that the repair was not done properly. Make sure they understand the inconvenience they have put you to and ask can they effect the repairs as quickly as possible.

SOURCE: Futura CE-200 Stops in middle of design and says wrong hoop size

Dear cjnations
Firstly we must all remember that the CE200 is a very particular machine and requires that you follow certain procedures in order for it to run smoothly. When using the small hoop, firstly you must make sure that the small hoop is selected on the screen by going to Tools, Select Hoop & clicking on small frame. Once this has been done and the design selected, you must then attach the small hoop before sending the design to the machine. If you attach the hoop after sending the design, the machine will give you the error message.
Good Luck!

SOURCE: Singer Sewing Machine model 9224. Bobbin thread

If you turn the handwheel, can you see a metal ring rotating around the outer edge of the bobbin case? If not rotating, broken gear or timing belt off.
If that ring is turning, remove the needle plate and bobbin case. As this ring now rotates, you will a finger on the ring that will pass behind the needle from right to left and it should catch the thread from the eye of the needle. If this finger, the "hook" passes above the eye, you have a timing problem.

Let me know.

I have a singer 7422 sewing machine which is made in canada. I want to use it in india. So, what type of step down converter do i need and how much watt.

Hello Gargi Sarkar
The power supply voltage in India is between 220 V and 240 V. Your machine will be ruined if you plug it directly into the power supply in India. There are two options:
1. Use a step down adaptor to 'reduce' the 220 - 240 V to 110V which is what your machine can handle. This may be more practical and economical AND you can use the step-down adaptor for other Canadian electronics.
2. Your sewing machine motor can be changed for a 220 - 240 V motor, but often other parts will need to be changed as well. Also more costly.

How do you get the bobbin thread to work on the singer quantum 9240.

Difficult to determine since we don't really know what exactly is happening with the machine.

You might try downloading a manual. Your particular model manual is not available, but the 9224 is probably very similar (at least, in how the bobbin works).

I wish to take the Ellure Plus machine to India where the power supply is 240 volt. What shall I do? What is the power requirement in Watts for this machine. Your feedback is highly appreciated.

You will need to check with the instruction manual of your machine what the specifications are.

Today the 120 volt mains, I am told, is almost a thing of the past and 220 volt is much more common. The UK mains electricity used to be 250 volts but it has been lowered to 240 and eventually it will be lowered to 230 volts to bring us closer to the European specification.

Because most electrical equipment is imported and we are a minority market, electrical manafacturers didn't want to produce specail goods just for us and so for 20 years or so most of our electrical goods are suitable for use in a range of mains voltages from 220 to 240. Sometimes they are marked as such and sometimes marked as 230 volts but we are told 240 won't damage them and they will still work efficiently at 220. It is only very old electrical equipment made for 250 volts that seems slightly less efficient.

Some equipment is made for universal use and will accept 120 volt mains as well as the 220 to 240 range. In this case there is usually a provision to select a different voltage by means of a switch or by changing some simple internal wiring connections. Details of how to do this is invariably printed in the manual.
Equipment produced for 110/120 volts only would become dangerous and be soon destroyed if plugged directly into a 240 volt mains but a transformer can easily be obtained to allow 120 volt equipment to be used on 220/240 volt mains. A great many professional tools are still produced to use 120 volt electricity for reasons of safety and so auto-transformers of all sizes are commonly available and not too expensive.

I have a fairly limited experience of sewing machines but I think a domestic machine has only a very small appetite for power and a supply suitable for a reading lamp will be more than adequate. The exact wattage of your machine will be found in the instruction manual.

Can Singer 7258 Stylist be used in a Country like India with 220 - 240 voltage? Is there any UK model for the same?

the machine comes in two versions european {220-240v}
or american {110v}

you need to use a transformer to give 110-240v
the current this machine uses is less than 3amps
so a 3amp 110-240v converter is easily found on ebay for $10

Need a manual for 3-120 singer sewing machine

If you mean the Singer Featherweight 221 cat #3-120, the Singer website (http://www.singerco.com) has the manual on their support site. The direct link is http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/646_221.pdf . The 3-120 indicates the motor for the sewing machine; there was a period when Singer made the unit with what they called the 3-110 motor.

I hope this helps.
