On switch for LG DLG2302 doesnt work but light comes on when dryer door is opened

Were the doors left open at anytime? If so it has a thermostat that will shut off the lights to keep from getting too hot, If they werent left open, could be bad bulb or stuck or bad light switch on the door, all very easy fixes.

SOURCE: I have an LG dryer. Can the door be switched (like a refrigerator) to open from the other side?

Most can. Check on the opposing side and see if there are any mounting holes. You may have to remove a panel in order to expose them.
