My oil reservoir is leaking

There seems to be a "drain plug" in the bottom of the oil tank. It is a grey plastic. Does it screw in?

The grey plug in the base of the oil tank is the oil filter it will twist 1/4 turn and pull out, to replace push back in and turn 1/4 turn there is a leg on it that locks into the orange tank, there is a screw driver slot in it to assist this, they can be really tight try not to force too much or you will break it.

SOURCE: husqvarna rancher, leaks oil when saw is off.

The hose is leaking. You will have to replace the hose. You do not have to disassemble the saw in half as many seem to think. Just some of the parts that are in the way. You can insert a wire and pull the hose out from the oil tank along with the filter. It goes in and you remove only the parts that are in the way where the hose comes out.

SOURCE: Bar oil leaking

I think it is quite normal to have some oil leakage in chainsaws, some oils are lighter than others and may cause more leaking. My saws always leaks a little while sitting on the shelf. If it bothers you an easy solution is to remove oil & gas before storing. Maybe storing it lying on its side also helps. Good luck!

I have a Hoover V Steam Vac model F7412. The tank for the clean water and cleaner fluid leaked out the bottom. I purchased a new tank but something in that area is still leaking. I know it is not the...

My clean solution tank is leaking from the bottom, too. It is not a hose or a valve. The clean solution tank is leaking in-between the clear plastic walls of the solution tank & the grey plastic bottom that are connected, together. I was thinking of caulking it all around the bottom where the clear plastic sides join the grey bottom plastic. I can't get into ordering a new one (spending $) unless Hoover will send me a new one for free. Purchased at Kohl's in Massapequa, NY in June 2008. There's a one year warrantee AND the directions say to EMPTY the solution tank after each use. Which I normally do because the tank runs dry.

What is involved in changing oil in 2005 softail deuce

find the oil drain plug. Look at the bottom of the oil tank from the right side. You'll see a large hose going down behind the transmission and on down to the very bottom of the frame. It connects to a crossmember on the bottom of the frame below the transmission. There is a drain plug that screws in the crossmember from the bottom, Remove the plug to drain the tank.

Remove and replace the oil filter with the correct filter.

Add three quarts of oil to the oil tank after reinstalling the drain plug.

Good luck

Location of oil filter

The 2007 Tundra 5.7l engine doesn't have a spin on filter - it uses a replaceable paper cartridge within a permanent housing. Located under the skid plate on the front-left portion of the engine, the oil filter unit has two coolant hoses, a black plastic screw-in housing, and a large, metal, round screw with a 1/2" square fitting in the middle of it. The cartridge-type oil filter is in the housing.

If equipped with a skid plate, access is accomplished by removing the 5 skid plate bolts, allowing the plate to swing down on integrated hangars (with the front plastic bumper skirt still attached). To completely remove the skid plate, three small screws holding it to the front plastic bumper skirt must also be removed.

Toyotafilter kits contain a new filter cartridge, a plastic drain plug, and two O-rings. The drain plug is used to drain residual oil from the filter unit prior to removing the plastic screw-in housing. After removing the large, metal, round screw with a 1/2" square fitting in the middle of it, the plug simply snaps into the bottom of the plastic housing. The smaller of the two new O-rings replaces the existing O-ring on the screw.

Once drained, the plastic screw-in filter housing is removed using a filter wrench (Toyota special service tool). The larger of the two new O-rings replaces the existing O-ring on the screw-in housing. VERY CLOSE ATTENTION must be paid in placing the new O-ring - failure to properly seat the new O-ring could result in a massive oil leak! The filter itself is currently only available from Toyota.

My Keurig Platinum B70 is leaking. When I put the water reservoir on to the coffee maker, water seeps out the bottom where the reservoir sits into...almost like the little valve in the reservoir stays...

My Keurig B60 had the same issue. The water reservoir has a valve in a nipple on the bottom that slides into a clear plastic fitting within the base of the unit. Water from the reservoir is supposed to pass through the fitting and into the pump, which is also in the base. Over time, hard water deposits can build up on the nipple or the mating fitting (or both) such that a good seal is not made when the reservoir is in place and water slowly leaks out the bottom. To fix this, I removed the five screws on the bottom of the Keurig and then removed the two screws which hold the fitting in place. I gently cleaned both the clear plastic fitting and the nipple in the bottom of the reservoir with white vinegar. After rinsing both with clean water and drying both, I applied a small amount of silicon faucet grease (available at any hardware store) to both parts. I haven't had any more leaks since, although I assume I will have to repeat this operation periodically.

How to change oil on 2007 harley davidson flhtcui

On the earlier dressers (Evolution engines), the oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. If you look underneath the transmission, you'll see two drain plugs. The one closest to the left side of the bike is the engine oil drain, the one in the center is the transmission drain.

Ride bike to warm the oil up and then remove the drain plug. Let old oil drain out. Remove and replace oil filter, simply screw the old one off and screw the new one on. This is a messy job. Oil goes everywhere. I cut a plastic milk jug so it will fit around the bottom side of the filter to catch most of the oil.

Refill oil tank with the prescribed amount of oil, on that bike, I think that's four quarts. Pour in three and check the level, if still low, add the last quart. I think they bike came with H-D Syn3 from the factory.

Coolant leak

I don't know what you mean by struts on the plug. If this is the plug on the lower radiator reservoir the cheap fix is to silicone a new plug and reinstall it. Don't over tighten. If the silicone doesn't work you may have to have a shop replace the tank they're in. If it's plastic, the whole radiator is toast. If it's metal a radiator shop can re-solder it.

Coolant resevoir

There is a feed hose under there that goes to the bottom of the reservoir. Look around the edge of the reservoir, and you'll see three locating screws, philips head. Remove these and you can tilt the reservoir up and out of the way to look and see if you can see a disconnected hose underneath.
