My 2002 pontiac montana security and battery light flashing and now it wont start

you could have a bad alternator not keeping the system at the appropriate level of charge. Or check the battery, replace with other known battery that is good and see if this fixes the problem. Clean all battery terminals. Dead shorts in battery can really create problems and sometimes can load test good but on the low side. Try the battery swap first if you have access to one

Alternator tests good wont charge battery

I'm sorry to say it could be the computer.
The computer controls idle speed as well as alternator output.
If the check engine light is on you should get it scanned for trouble codes.

Battery is dead and wont start

Make sure the battery is fully charged before trying again. If the battery wont charge get a new one. Once installed use a multimeter to verify that the alternator is charging.

I left the ignition on and the battery went dead. now the battery wont hold a charge. i can charge overnight starts right away. ride for 30 mins. turn off and it wont restart.

Is this an acid batter? If so you may need to add water to the appropriate levels for it to hold a charge after you put it on a trickle charger. Otherwise, I would say the battery is dead and you need to replace. Good luck!

1988 Chev half ton kills battery. Put in new battery and starts right away. Ran it for about 20min then shut it off. Tried to restart and battery is completely dead. Needs boost to restart.

Have your starting system checked for starter draw.If the starter is drawing to many amps it will draw the battery down very quickly. Also have your charging system load tested to make sure the alternator is charging properly.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Charged battery.showed charged right away.bike wont start unless

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The description "...series of clicks..." is significant. The battery is not putting out enough current to turn the starter motor. The best way to determine the battery condition is to have it load tested. However, considering eveything else, it would almost always be a failed or about to fail battery.

Incidentally, the alarm has been designed to have minimal current drain when in standby.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

OWN AN '06 COMMANDER HEMI 5.7 CAR WONT START BUT HAS POWER TO ALL ELECTRICAL FEATURES MAKES CLICK BUT WON'T TURN OVER. TRIED TO REMOVE BREAKERS FOR STARTER AND STARTED UP AND DROVE BUT AFTER I STOPPED IT...

Check for power in and out of starter relay.Check power at starter (large terminal hot at all times, smaller one hot with key in start position.) Make sure battery terminals are clean ON inside where it matters and check connections on the other ends of battery wiring as well. Breaker should have continuity as well. If power is present at starter, likely starter has failed, but do not condemn till everything has been tested. I assume battery and charging system are in good condition?
