Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
I had the sme problem wit my Inspiron 1501, and had the problem for over a year. I didn't have the media while I was away, so spent a year trying to resolve it. No help from Dell, goodness knows how many times I dowloaded drivers, nada. I once spent 47 days downloading a solution (very bad connection) and it didn't work. Came back, clean install, problem solved. Don't waste time trying to solve it... I've shed too many tears and even broke a finger in frustrion with a table... Reinstall, honestly, it's the best bet. (you don't have to lose your work)

Hi, In my experience as a Tech Support Agent, I've come to see several issues like this, when the best solution will be to do a clean reinstallation of windows, you should be able to do so with the Operating System Disks that came with your computer, as Dell provides to its customers, if you don't have them, you can easily contact them via Chat, at support.dell.com and ask for a copy, this should resolve your issue, be sure to back up your information.
