I want to clean the jets in my tub they look mouldy

Cleaning your Tub
There are several options for cleaning the piping on a jetted bathtub.
The reason you have a residue on the bathtub surface when you are done bathing is because there is bacteria built up in the plumbing of the jetted tub. In order to remove that and reduce the amount of "yucky stuff" coming into the tub when using it, we recommend a regular usage of a jet cleaning product about once every couple of months
Here is a link at the bottom to the cleaning products I can find right now. There may be others out there that I am not aware of but I do know these products work well in all jetted bathtubs.

American standard jet bath tub black particles coming out of jets

The problem you are experiencing is common to many jetted bathtubs. It is a result of dried bathing water in the tub. There are a couple of solutions to resolve this ongoing problem.
  1. Use your tub more frequently as the water will not have time to fester in the pipes.
  2. Use a cleaning solution made for cleaning the pipes on jetted bathtubs once every three months.

You find Cleaning and Maintenance Products for jetted tubs at the following website. US Parts Center

Oil type substance is streaking down the side of the tub and apperars to be coming out of the jets any ideas how to fix it

This sounds like bacteria coming from the water lines. When was the last time you ran a cleaner through the jets?
You should run a good Jet Clean type product of Maintenance Product in order to prevent the build up of bacteria in the water lines when the bath tub is not in use.

How do you clean the jets in a whirlpool tub? Is there any product to put in water and run jets to clean them?

Put white vinegar in the water and run it through your tub. Fill the tub to it's maximum running capacity, which is normally just above the jets, and pour a gallon of vinegar in the water with it. Let it run with the vinegar for about 20 minutes, then turn it off and let the vinegar sit in the jets for about 30 minutes. Then start up the jets again for about another 10 minutes and drain. Then run plan water through the jets for about 15 minutes, drain and that should do it. I would recommend doing this at least once every 2 months depending on your water type and how often you use the tub.

Particles coming out of the jets.

This is caused by bacteria build up inside the pipes of the tub. You should use a product like System Flush, Jet Fresh, Jet Clean, Whirlout or similar to clean the tubing.
You can prevent that just as easy by using the tub 4 + times a week.

The clothes smell moldy after washed in our Samsung frontloader. How can I get that moldy smell out?

1/4 cup powdered DISHWASHING soap and 1 cup bleach straight into the wash tub with a squeeze of lemon on a dirty rag HOT water wash. You may have to do this 2 to three times the first time.

Make sure your using HE laundry soaps.

There are at least 2 products out there for HE washer cleaning cycles. Tide and Affresh. It is in the laundry soap section of most supermarkets. You should use one of these type products at least one a month.

Indoor jacuzzi bathtub problem

Just add 1/2 cup bleach to a full tub of clean water, turn on the jets.

Grab a small goldfish strainer / net and scoop out the moldy chunks.

Keep cycling the water until most of the chunks are gone.

Drain the rub, refill and add 1/2 cup bleach again, repeating the process.

The problem is caused by water left in the lines after use, and it turns moldy.

After each use...drain the tub completely, then turn on the jets for about 10 seconds. This will purge the lines of any standing water.

Fill the tub with clean water and cycle the jets with bleach once a week to prevent any further problem.

Hope this helps...it worked for me, I had the same problem.
