Replaced with new one? If yes, problem is in CSIC board, small board in carriage that "read" chip at ink tank.

try to reseat the cartridges and make sure you hear a click when you press them all down and if that doesnt work still have it replaced... when you open cover presss and release ink button so that youll know which one is bad since there is an ink out indicator in the middle part of the printer and it will point to the one which is bad or defective

my CX4800 has done the same thing. I ran the utilities dozens of times, replaced every cartridge and it feeds papers the print head moves like it's printing but nothing is imaged on the paper.
Searching the web is my last chance to fix it before i toss this 18 month old printer and never buy an epson again.

I had the same problem with the light black and light magenta as well. It took trying only one new cartridge with the light magenta before it worked.
The light black took 4 new cartridges before it worked. I had called the Epson support center on this problem and after going through suggestions they made that did not work, I told the guy I had another new cartridge on hand. He said to go ahead and try it. This time the printer worked. He took my name and address and said the other cartridges were faulty. Epson is sending me new replacement cartridges at no charge.

You need to open up the maintenance window and go thru the motions that you are changing the cartridges and this resets the ink levels back to full and sends data to the printer saying that they are full and the ink light disappears and it prints fine !!!
Just changing them doesn't seem to do the trick like on a lot of printers
