HP printer will not wake up

After sitting idle for awhile, it goes into "Sleep Mode" (at least that is what I call it). Sometimes I am able to push the display screen to Wake it up, but usually, it refuses to wake up. I then have to unplug then plug it in again. After waiting an eternity for the self-diagnostic to finish, it works fine. Can I set it not to go to sleep?

Solution one: Plug the product directly into a wall outlet to make sure the power source functions correctly.
1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Unplug the power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors, and then plug it directly into a wall outlet.
3. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
4. Try to print again from the computer.
NOTE: If the product prints when plugged directly into a wall outlet, the power strip or surge suppressor might not allow enough voltage to reach the product.
If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.
Solution two: A semi-full reset returns the following settings to the factory defaults:
· User menu settings · Telephony parameter values · Country and language selection · Fax memory · Fax journal information · Speed dial and broadcast lists · Personal header information · Junk file numbers
1. Press the Power button to turn off the product, and then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product, and then wait 20 seconds. 3. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. 4. Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the back of the product. Press the Power button to turn on the product, and then follow the instructions that display on the control panel to select the product settings.

If it comes out of "sleep mode" every 10 minutes, and you haven't touched the printer or sent any data to the printer, try unplugging the LAN cable for 15 minutes. If the printer stays in "sleep mode"either the formatter is bad or whatever is on the other end of the LAN cable could be bad. If you can put the printer on another PC to see what happens, that would really help you out.

SOURCE: sleep mode does not wake up

In most cases the formatter board is causing this problem. The only way to solve it is replacing the formatter board

Hp slate pro 21 goes to sleep mode and can't be turned on

NO OS stated at all, w7/8 or 10 , did it ever get OS upgraded, from 7 or higher? if yes say so. ok?
Do the HP.com long reset yet?>
answered here 10,000 times and 1 million times at HP.com
This is an ALL-IN-ONE PC. 5 years old, (can be)
not a desktop real (atx) not laptop or note book.

Most of these odd duck PC have special keys for Unsleep.?
but this fake desktop has no huge battery.
so you unplug the power pack from the wall
and hold the power button on for 30seconds and release it.
then try normal.
'
the manual on this PC cover sleep did you read it.
did you ever upgrade the OS? if yes, BINGO. a problem.
learn that sleep mode only works correctly if all drivers are correct for you unstated OS (matched perfectly from HP)
and worse in hibernate mode, more complex. that is.

using slate mode? or hdmi
read page 4 (and page 45 on 30min sleep rule new)

quote. how to unsleep or WAKE this PC is stated in the above manual. I pasted the words here.
Examples include the user pressing the power/sleep button, receiving an input signal from an input device, receiving an input
signal from a network connection with t
he Wake On LAN (WOL) feature enabled, etc.

typing wakes it, mouse wakes it.
if you have power setting set up wrong, the mouse and keyboards go dead and will not wake the PC from sleep.
so hold the power button on for longer, time.
the power button I think is the only button that never sleeps.
note how that button has very unique name, on this PC.

Printer not responding hp photosmart 6525 after going into sleep mode

My printer will not print after sitting for about 30 minutes. As soon as I turn it off and then back on the job I previously sent, prints out. I tried changing the amount of time before it goes to sleep but this does not correct it and does not seem to be related. You can hit the check mark to wake it up but it still will not print until turned off and then on. Source: How do you turn off the sleep mode in a HP 3600 printer?
