Teac a 2340 developed squeezing from supply reel. Motor is lubricated so do think it is that. Squeal stops when supply tension arm is disengaged.

Squeal of tape can be due to sticky tape such as Ampex 406, 456,or 3M 807 and 226 or any tape with the H binder formula. I do not think the machine is at fault because of the squeal it is the tape. I am a past Teac Lead Service Technician so I have 40 years experience at this time. If the machine squeals with no tape on it then you may need brake pads

Teac x1000r transport logic does not work

Are the tension arms up? if so, the unit needs looking at to determine the cause of the fault. These X series decks are not the easiest units to get corrected because of the many features and the servo tension system they employ. I have one on the bench now and have been doing Teac decks for over 40 years. I can help if you need a Technician and I can direct you to guys I know if you are no near Chicago.

Replace belt on teac x1000r

The belt being broken is just the tip of the iceberg. Yes, people change them themselves all the time then they bring the deck to me when this does not work. Besides the belt, the capstan motor has to be determined good or not- sometimes a sticky belt can burn up the motor a $150 part. Typically, pots need cleaning, Flywheels should be extracted and oiled as well as capstan shafts cleaned and reconditioned- the Flywheels are particular as how they go in. I get units in with them reversed and another problem is created. The adjustment of tension arms requires a Tentelometer and the voltage references have to be set- they are usually off due to mechanical changes to the tension arms. The the calibration of the deck should be done. Also people are buying a wide belt in E bay and it does not work- I end up taking it out and putting in a correct sized belt. Rollers and Pinch Rollers need oiling and the washers put in where missing and so on.
If you are in Chicago area look up skywave Tape Deck Repair on the internet- I work on X1000R and X2000Rs all the time.
If in New Jersey Russ in in Emerson.

How do you thread a teac model 40-s tape player

There is no such model.
If you have a A4010S. The tape comes off the reel under the tension arm, over the reverse sensing post, under the heads and lifters, over the
capstan shaft (in between the capstan and Pinch Roller) then under the right tension arm and on to the take-up reel.

With TEAC A-2300s. Install new tape from supply side to take up side.

It goes from the left reel over the tension arm under the stationary guide in the head stack under the lifters between the Pinch Roller and Capstan shaft and then under the rigfht tension arm and threaded onto the reel. This is from memory but I am sure I have threaded 1000 or more decks in 40 years of service.

I need to see/know the way to load the tape into the machine- TEAC A-4070 reel-to-reel

In short, the left and right swinging tape tension arms must be held up under tension by the tape....if these are allowed to fall this turns off the deck...

How to change belt in teac x1000r reel to reel tape deck

If you are not familiar with such work, I don't recommend trying to install belt(s). Replacing belts may involve disassembly of mechanism parts and critical adjustments to follow. Take to a pro/tech
