SOURCE: Making an electrical noise, but drum not turning. Sounds like it's shorting.

I'd suggest - remove the top cover. Switch on. Push the drum around - see if the drum picks up speed and continues to run. If this happens, it means that the motor Starter capacitor has gone dud and will need replacing. Note- If the drum doesn't continue to rotate after you shove it, switch off immediately. It will likely then be a faulty motor.

SOURCE: hotpoint tumble dryer making a banging noise, is

This could be a simple fix or more of a major task, so if you think you can have a go then great, first find tools and torch, empty any clothes, unplug from the power supply, disconnect vent if any, place unit on a table or bench then remove the back check for large quantities of fluff and dust, clean as much as possible, see if drive belt is secure and not damaged if this is not the case then the drum bearings may be worn, try to move the drum up and down, try the same thing from inside the door, as these dryers tend to wear front bearings quicker than rear ones, if excessive wear and you are confident, remove the drive belt and tensioner take note of the layout, remove supporting bracket at rear of drum taking careful note of where any nuts bolts are from, withdraw the drum you should now have access to all the bearings which are usually like a special plastic runners or ring, contact local supplier stating make and model number ask for a bearing kit, replace bearings and rebuild machine, all this could take up a few hours to a few days so ensure you can manage without a working dryer.............good luck

Bosch classixx wash and dry - washing machine works fine but dryer does not start and door light does not go out?

if the door light is not going out it is an indication that the door switch is not working. this would also cause it to not run because it thinks the door is still open.

Sounds like a blown thermostat, usually caused by venting problem. If you live in a condo maybe there is a lint screen in the wall that you're not checking

Leak during tumble cycle

more than likely that the seal for your condensing chamber has become faulty easy fix undo any screws that hold the condesing chamber on get some bath/shower sealant that is waterproof put this around the chamber and put it back on you will have to leave it for a couple of hours but this should fix the leaking problem its not totaly common but this does happen m8
