You may need more than one - downloading the Windows Codec Pack, Windows Media Player 11, and the latest version of Quicktime will give you most of the codecs that you need- they are all free - just do an internet search for them.

Cannot play videos on my phillips go gear vibe /17 model what format does this device support

tthis device supports MPEG-4-based video formats such as DIVX, XVID, and WMV. Some players may also handle copy-protected videos. as for songs. this supports:

Apple Lossless: Apple (Mac) format for an uncompressed sound file
AAC: Advanced Audio Coding
ATRAC: Adaptive TRansform Acoustic Coupling
FLAC: Free Lossless Audio Codec
MPEG: Moving Picture Experts Group
OGG: Short for Ogg Vorbis, a free, open source music format
WAV: Uncompressed Windows standard for waveform audio files
WMA: Windows Media Audio
if you wan to watch a video that is not supported you always just convert it using http://www.soft29.com/freeware/smv_converter.html. this is a freeware meaning its a free website. with a free program. :) glad i could help

Cant read DVD's and rise of nation cd

If your dvd rom isn't recognizing any dvds or maybe curtain dvds you need to download both a DVD decoder, such as Roxio, WinDVD or Cyberlink Power DVD, as well as a complete set of codecs, the best codec pack you can find at this link, make sure to download the full version. http://www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm

Good Luck =)

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.

If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.

This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.

Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

Arc soft say;s im missing a codec flv codec's

Even the newest version of the Arcsoft Media Converter, I have found, doesn't recognize FLV files even if you have an FLV codec. Use a free program called Riva FLV Encoder to convert any FLV files to AVI format first. Then Arcsoft will recognize it.

Hey

If the video file you are trying to convert is in AVI format, get an AVI codec. If it is in FLV format, get an FLV codec. Same with Mpeg. The codecs are available for free online from many websites.
