Freezer section evaporator fan motor bearing are going out. This would be indicted by a high pitched squealing noise. Have the fan motor replaced and it should solve your problem.

SOURCE: LG Frig LFC23760ST 3 Door French Refrigerator : No power!

Little late, but the same thing happened to me. With a continuity tester you should be able to check to see if the fuse is good/bad, but make sure there is no power going to the board. Mine went bad but since the fuses are integral to the board, the entire board was bad. $20 later after a visit to RadioShak, I was able to remove the fuse, and install a fuse holder in its place. Never soldered on a printed circuit board before, but thought it worth a shot since the board is $200! I say try and trouble shoot it yourself. It worked out well for me.

LFC25760. I saw an answer to my question but now I can't find it.

It may be a good idea to pay somebody to come out and clean the defrost condensate drain it's pretty complicated for just the homeowner to do. I do this all the time that requires taking the freezer drawer out the freezer door the rear wall of the freezer and defrosting the drain and forcing water through the drain to ensure that the drain is open before you close it back up I also install a piece of copper wire from the defrost heater element into the opening of the drain to ensure it does not freeze over again.

I have a Samsung model RF4287HA French door refrigerator. Has anyone had success cleaning the drip pan located at the bottom rear of the refrigerator? I know that this pan can't be removed, but I can'

Hello Derek;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

In answer to your question, the drain pan is removable. This drain pan is available for purchase. The problem is both Samsung and LG are not service friendly. The drain pan is not secured with fasteners and just lifts up.

However, There is the interference from the seal system (refrigerant) tubing and compressor which prevents you from pulling the drain pan out.

On my service calls with drain pan leakage, I just repaired the drain pan with duct tape an silicone adhesive. Because I could not get the drain pan out with out moving the compressor.

Both, Samsung and LG are the worst service friendly and highest cost for repair.

Why Icing on bottom freezer

Your drain hose in the bottom back of the freezer is clogged and Iced up and all the defrost water is staying in the freezer and building up. You need to take the freezer back panel off, remove all the ice, defrost the drain, clean, flush with hot water and test the drain line to reach the drain pan under the fridge.

This has nothing to do with the ice maker. The defrost drain has frozen over. Inside the freezer you will see that the whole back is a panel. Unplug the unit and gently pry at the top of this panel. It will come forward and then you can lift it out. unplug the fans and take the panel out. You will see the coils. and underneath the coils, the drain pan. Mine was completely filled with ice. I used a hair dryer to melt it and remove the large chunks. Be gentle. Use a turkey baster to remove excess water. Then pour some very hot water in to clear the drain itself.

If you have water in front of the refrigerator often your drain hole is frozen over and not allowing the water from your defrost cycle to drain into the drain pan. You can manually defrost this by disassembling the rear of your freezer and using a hair dryer. I would suggest that you simply unplug your refrigerator make sure you prop the doors open and allow it to defrost for at least 12 hours.

You have a frozen drain tube. Remove the back cover after unplugging the unit. Locate the drain tube running down to the drip pan. If it is frozen, thew it with a hair dryer. In the inside, find the drain hole and pour hot water in it until it drains properly. I f it happens again your defrost element is too far away from the aluminum drain pan and needs to be GENTLY lowered closer to the drain

Water accumulating under the vegetable boxes in the refrigerators

Self-defrosting refrigerators dispose of the water generated during the defrost cycle, usually via a tube or channel that directs the water to a pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. From the pan, the water normally evaporates.

If the tube or channel is clogged or obstructed, the water backs up and leaks into the inside of the refrigerator compartment. Then the water builds up at the bottom, inside of the refrigerator. When the water has built up for a time it may spill out of the front of the door opening. To fix this problem, clear the drain tube or channel and allow the defrost water to flow down to the drain pan.
