I changed the gasket but it does not have a tight door close. it closes but it very light to the touch close

You have to form the door gasket. That means you have to use a heat gun (please don't use the heat gun if you are not familiar) to form the gasket to the seating surface. You can use a hair dryer which is less heat intensive. You got to be very careful, since too much heat is going to burn out your gasket and has to buy another one.

This is what you do.... Where the gasket is not seating properly to surface..... Those areas in the gasket you slightly heat up and let the rubber heat up and close the door. So the heated rubber will form into the shape of the seating surface.

Please check some YOU TUBE video's on this before doing. Otherwise you might burn out the gasket and will have to buy a new one again.

Check for a door gasket leak. If you put a single sheet of paper between the gasket and door it should stay in place without any assistance when the door is closed. Use a strip about 3 x 3 inches and work your way around the gasket.

Trouble installing freezer track

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please tell me if you want to replace the door gasket, or the Run screws back up against the metal holding strip snugly, not fully tight. Go to the bottom and do the bottom half. By doing the top half first and tightening, then doing the bottom half, you will minimize any warping of the door. If there is warping of the door, we have not yet fully tightened the screws. so you can realign the door easily and then tighten the screws. Check the alignment of the door and be sure the gasket is sealing properly before fully tightening the screws.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

no, you will need to replace the gasket. U-line gasket is easy to install. You can visit their website and under customer service you will see parts locator. The gasket just pulls out of the track and the new one pushes back in the track. www.u-line.com

On my GE Profile side by side the Fridge side the door will close and then pop open. The door has been making a clicking sound when opened. When it pops open it does not close again.

This can happen if the door gasket is not seating properly. If it is deformed you can correct this by pouring boiling water along the deformed area, then closing the door and keeping it closed while the gasket cools and sets. Please check first that it has been correctly installed, there are screws and a bracket behind the gasket. Another problem could be the alignment of the door. It is possible to adjust alignment on the hinges. One other thing is to raise the front "feet" so that the fridge slightly leans backwards.

Water leaking from the front-bottom of the freezer drawer

A faulty door gasket will definitely cause excessive condensate and running time. There is also a door heating system which is from heated refrigerant circulating around the area where door gasket meets cabinet. You should be able to feel a certain amount of warmth in this area. If not there could be condensation again from cold leaking out of the gasket and being formed on the actual cabinet.

Condensation on refrigerator front btwn top freezer and refrigerator doors

I have the same problem with my frig in the basement. I get condensation and resulting mold on the top outer surface and related areas. This is from the surface being cold, with resulting outside moist air condensing on the cold surface. Best solution - spray/wipe the surface with a bleach and water solution, let it soak a few minutes, then wipe off with a rag. Add a drop of dishwasher soap to a mixture of roughly 4 parts water to one part bleach. Repeat if necessary. Do this as often as the problem seems to creep up again. Good luck!

Concaved out freezer door

If concave is severe you will have to replace door. You can try to alleviate a slight gap by using a hairdryer and blowing hot air on the gasket in the area of the gap....move the dryer in up and down motions and the gasket will expand! Just make sure that there is no ice pressing against the door inner first! Oshie
