Question about Sony Car Audio & Video

Open Question

Sony CDX-S22 - All of the buttons stopped working, yet display still has power.

I went to change station on radio and volume went to max output. None of the buttons work on radio since, yet radio display begins to flash through the features of the player, like sub out and eq and all sorts of words so it has power. Have reset unit but makes no difference.

SOURCE: Turning off sony cdx-gt170 display

Hold the volume button down until the clock setting comes on. Then press the same button until you see "Demo:On" on the screen. Turn the volume either up or down to change the setting and then hold the volume button down until you see "AUX" or "TUNER" on the main screen again.

Try resetting it. Remove front panel, on main unit is an indent that says reset, insert ballpoint to reset and replace front panel. Everything should now work although you will need to reset stations and clock.

Need to fix the time

I have the the sony cdx gt 400 and the manual is of no help but I figured it out. You have two options...option 1 is wait until 1 o'clock and hit the small reset button on the radio behind your detachable face, or option 2 is a even better option. Press and hold the volume button in and options will appear...then by tapping the volume button you will cycle through the various options until you find "clock adjust" then press the small "display" button below the volume knob and also right next to the "source" button...the hour will flash turn the volume knob to desired hour then tap the volume knob or display button and the minutes will flash then turn the volume knob to the desired minutes, and you are done...hopefully this helps
