Question about Apple iTunes

Are there any iTunes controllers?

I'm looking for a 3rd party controller for iTunes. I want something that has hot keys (hotkeys) or global hotkeys where I can advance the track, go back play/pause, adjust the volume etc without having to open maximize iTunes. I'd like to be able to see my album artwork. There are some mac apps where they float the album artwork and display song/track/artist information. Lyrics would be nice too - but that's icing on the cake. Just something for iTunes for the PC! Anything?

Yes I'm looking for a remote - so that iTunes does not have to be in 'focus'. It's big and bulky, that's why hotkeys would be nice! Also I found some Mac apps that pull lyrics, that would just be an awesome bonus. If anyone finds something that's GOOD let me know!

I found this ( it has the hotkeys ability so when i'm on the web, or typing a document i can hit ctrl+alt+up arrow and adjust the volume of itunes, etc. It's an awesome program. Thank for your help though!

Most multimedia keyboards can control iTunes as far as pause, play, mute, next track, last track, volume, etc. As for the artwork, iTunes does that if you select the artwork option in the view menu. It's not too flexible, however. I'm not sure what you mean by a 'controller, however. Do you mean a remote control?

Where do I find a restore and recovery cd for a panasonic toughbook cf-51 mk2LL?

I wouldn't suggest buying such recovery CDs from 3rd parties when you have the option to get it from Original manufacturer. Buying it from a third party will not guarantee desired results and you may lose a lot of money. You can get it through the official Panasonic website. Here's the link:

Hot keys not working

You will usually need to hold down a function key for your hotkeys to work, look for a key near the space bar that says "fn" or something similar

I'm playing a game that uses tab key a lot. The dvd hotkey is right next to the tab and it tries to load that over my game. How can I disable that hotkey. The program came with the computer and I...

Uninstall the hotkey software from Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs in XP, Programs and Features in Vista, 7)

Alternatively install Startup Control Panel and uncheck the program from startup. The program works great in XP, for Vista and 7 there is more playing around:
  • Download the zip file
  • Click Extract All files
  • Right click on the program
  • Choose Run as Administrator
  • Install the program
  • Open Control Panel and choose Classic View
  • Run Startup
  • Uncheck something in HKLM and it will duplicate
  • Close Startup
  • Wait for Windows to pop up a box
  • Click Reinstall using recommended settings
  • Allow the program to run
  • Now you can remove the programs from startup.
  • Restart your computer

I found 15 search results for hotkey errors. The hotkeys are like The "Alt", "Esc", "Ctrl", etc. The easiest fix I can think of would be to try another keyboard since they are so cheap. The other solutions are likely in Control Panel under mice and keyboards.

Hot key

What kind of keyboard? What do you want the hotkeys to do? Go to Control Panel on your computer and you can usually map hotkeys specifically from the Keyboard section of Control Panel.

My Acer Aspire One PC Notebook speakers stopped working

The computer employs hotkeys or key combinations to access most of the
computer's controls like screen brightness, volume output and the BIOS utility.
To activate hotkeys, press and hold the <Fn> key before pressing the other key
in the hotkey combination.

<Fn> + <F8> Speaker toggle Turns the speakers on and off.

<Fn> + < > Volume up Increases the sound volume
(only for certain models).

<Fn> + < > Volume down Decreases the sound volume
(only for certain models).

When i open itunes I get a warning saying the iTunes drivers for importing and burning cds are missing. I have tried reinstalling iTunes and this doesn't seem to work. any ideas?

This message can occur when you have a conflict between 2 different software's.

If you have any 3rd party software burning software installed like ....
Raxio or Nero ( excluding windows media player )

These programs use the same drivers that itunes uses

what you will need to do is identify the software and remove it completely from your computer as well as itunes

Then re-downlaod itunes

The hard part is finding that 3rd party software

Hot Keys

Follow this procedure to enable the special buttons or function keys on the computer or keyboard in the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system.
  • If software has been installed for use with a third-party keyboard or mouse, uninstall the software to ensure there are no conflicts.
  • On AMD™ or Transmeta™ processor-based computers, the function keys are hardware controlled and not controlled by a hot-key utility.
  • The volume button, brightness key, and disc eject button on some computers will not work if the HotKey Utility application is not running.
  • The Magnify button and the Fn keys will not function properly before the operating system has finished starting.
  • The setting may not be saved if the ESC key is used to close the Fn display. Press the ENTER key or allow the Fn display to close automatically to save the setting.
  1. Click the Start button, then click Run .
  2. In the Run window, next to Open , type MSCONFIG .
  3. Press the ENTER key.
  4. In the System Configuration Utility window, click the Startup tab.
  5. On the Startup tab, under Startup Item , ensure that there is a check in the HKserv checkbox. NOTE: If HKserv is missing, reinstall the HotKey Utility application and the Sony Utilities Library.
