Question about Polaroid PDM-0742 Portable DVD Player
I've had this dvd player for about 3 years and used it maybe 3 times over that period of time. It was never dropped and even looks brand new. When I try to play any dvd I get a message that the disc is bad even when it's a brand new dvd.
I was a circuit board engineer for the on-chip set. there was a major techical issue with the units but due to the cost of investments by polariod, they decided to sell them to the public anyway. the promblem is in the chip that only works for a very short time before is overheats and the system will show "bad disk"
