Most traps open at both ends so certain cautious species have the feeling of confidence that he is going to get out again. A one door trap allows the animal to walk the whole way into the trap and past the trip plate when the doors shut ensuring even a large animal will be caught.

Versus mean against. team 1 against team 2 is the same as team 1 versus team 2. I don't understand "Who I is the home team?"

Choosing a good toilet

Tired of that old(or new) toilet plugging up every time the cat or other small child uses it? Time to choose a new one that will actually work.
Many manufacturers of toilets like to live off their name brand. Name brand does not mean the toilet is any good. How well a toilet works is really a function of design.

Two factors are most important when choosing a functional toilet.

1. Trap size - The bigger the trap size the more toys it will flush at one time.

2. Trap shape - You can see the trap shape/design on the rear side of the bowl. It generally resembles a snake in shape. The problem is that the engineers haven't realized that solids do not make 90degree turns very easily. If you go to your local plumbing store and study all the trap designs you will see some very creative designs that go up and then straight down to the floor and then make a 90 degree turn to run to another 90 degree turn that goes straight down. Avoid this design like the plague. Choose designs that have wide sweeping turns.

If your toilet has a wide sweeping trap design with no sharp turns and it somehow gets plugged - take a wild guess how hard it will be to plunge? yeah its very easy compared to dead end 90 degree trap designs.
I actually broke a blood vessel in my hand trying to plunge one of those 90 degree turn toilets. I wonder if I can sue for personal injury, mental distress etc.
I have been teaching folks the "common sense about toilet design" ever since.
Try it. You will thank me.

*A few extra notes about toilet design. Most engineers seem to be more interested in designing toilets to use very little water. This is apparently a big enough deal that functionality doesn't matter. However if you design a toilet to use only 1 gallon of water versus 1.8 per flush but you have to flush it 4 times while plunging it to actually get it to work, what have you saved?

How does it work?

Put bait on the pan inside then on the side of the trap there is a trigger mechanism where one arm rest on another arm that holds the doors open. When the animal messes with the bait the 1st arm will move allowing the 2nd arm to fall closing the end doors.

How do you set this trap

There will be a trigger mechanism on the side of the trap. When you raise the doors the trigger mechanism has two points where one will rest on the other holding the end doors open. I would recommend putting the bait on the trigger pan before you set the trap. When ever the animal touches the bait it causes the one arm to move in turn allowing the second arm to fall closing the doors trapping the animal.

Garbage disposal quit and both sinks are clogged , disposal won't work at all , is it a clog in the trap or is it the disposal

Clog is probably the trap.
Bail out as much water as possible, get some towels, and put bucket under trap and tubular pipes.
Remove two nuts off P-trap or S-Trap and drop trap down, and sinks will drain.
After clog is cleared, check disposal.
Check reset button on disposal.
If disposal is stuck, use wood boomstick to wedge open the cutter disk, or use allen wrench in slot on bottom of disposal.
If disposal will not work, check circuit breaker.
There are no repair parts for disposals.

Do you use plummers puddy on silgranit to seal drain stop apparatus to sink or will tightening pressure seal the unit.

1) I suggest contacting seller of silgranit and then posting their reply to this thread to help others with same question.

2) Another thread on silgranit says NO plumbers putty
Posts say: use silicone.

Hello, I have a 1999 saab 9-3 when I turn the fan on it only blows from the floor vents, no defrost or front, fan does work

You may have an air-mix door that is not functioning properly. It isn't operating to allow air flow to change direction and go through the other vent locations.

1. A trap door can simply be jamed.
2. You could have a bad vacume hose/connection, some use a vacume to open and close trap doors. Particularly from the floor vent to the upper vents
3. Some use electrical componets, an actuator to open and close doors.

This is very likely an easy repair.

Sink only drains when garbage disposal is run. Have cleaned trap, snaked pipe and no clogs still wont drain unless disposaln is tturned on.

Sounds like a clog inside disposal.
Water should run freely through disposal.
Remove both nuts on p-trap and trap falls loose.
Put bucket under tubular drain from disposal.
Turn water on to see if water runs out of disposal.
You might need a de-greaser, drain cleaner or CLR

It will run for 15 minutes then shut off. I restart it and it does the same. The lint trap is clean and when I open the door its not overheated.

it will start fine after it shuts off?
is there a delay? any humming before it starts? how many cycles do you have? does it work on one side but not the other? timed dry versus auto dry? sounds like your timer to me.
