I wouldn't suggest it. It can damage your knife. Also if the glass gets chipped, it can get into your food which is really dangerous.

How do ya cut plate glass and what tools are recommended?

Hi,If you want to cut glass left over form old project or somebody gave it to you for what ever reason the first thing you need to do is make sure that the glass is plate glass becouse if you try cutting tempered glass its going to blow in your face.
Usually tempered glass has a stamp somewhere in the corner which proves that is tempered and the company that tempered it. After you know for sure that your glass is plate glass you need:

1.Safety glasses
2.Glass gloves
3.Glass cutter
4.Straight edge
5.Cutting table or flat surface covered with felt or short hair carpet
6.Measuring tape
7.Clamps (to hold your straight edge while you score the surface)

The thing is you dont cut glass, you score it with the cutter and then brake it.Please let me know what kind of glass are you going to cut so I can be more specific.

How do I cut up a large mirror?

Essentially the same as cutting glass. Get a glass cutter with a new sharp wheel. Practice on a piece of scrap glass the touch. Firm but not too heavy then make a smooth stroke along a straight edge to guide your cut.

Put a t' thick board under the line to be broken with the board to the left of your intended cut then make a push down on the glass to the right of the break line. If you have made a good continuous scribe line in the glass completely along your cut line it will snap cleanly into your desired two pieces. Repeat until you have the sizes you want. It will only break in straight lines in this method.

Us a torch to burn the edge corners to keep them from cutting you. Just heat it long enough to round the sharp edge.

Windows fixya

Go to your local Lowe's store with the size measurements of the window. they will cut you the size you need. Probably better to replace it with a plastic window. it's as clear as glass and will not shatter.

What kind of cutting board is the best?

I think plastic is the best. Wood harbors bacteria, glass ruins your knives. Plastic ones can be cleaned well and they even can go in the dishwasher.

You should not cut the modulation diode, you should adjust the potentiometer VR-4 for full modulation. By cutting the diode, you risk over modulating. By turning up the pot, you can correct for an over modulation.

If you are still insistent on cutting the modulation limiter, it is D11, located directly in front of VR4 and C73. Looking at the radio from the front to back, it is in the right corner, apx 2 1/4" from the back and 2 3/8" from the right side.
