Gateway MT6840 unexpectedly shut down and wouldn't

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

See the system Error log. Rebooting due to unexpected NMI at 0012:9A23

Sounds like you need to reload your operating system. What were you doing when this happened? Does it happen all the time or was it just this once? Can you get into your system to do anything now?

NMI ISSUED PRESS ESC TO TURN OFF NMI IN IBM SERVER

dear mugkifa ,

NMI ISSUED PRESS ESC TO TURN OFF NMI IN IBM SERVER

the above error indicates , a non maskable interrupt occurred in your server , there may be a change of malfunction of a hardware ,like add on cards

one more solution in ibm server is disablig the NMI interrupt by using jumper settings (inside motherboard)

see the below mentioned details , may differ with your server series please refer with series on http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?brandind=5000008&lndocid=MIGR-5069937
