Check Outlet Thermal Limiter for continuity. For Gas Model, also

check Inlet Thermal Limiter for continuity. If Thermal Limiter is open,

check for evidence of high temperature event and any resulting damage...
If no further damage is evident, replace Thermal Limiter

E66 Error

Hello samanthaway - Error code E66 indicates that the thermal limiter circuit is open. Base on the intensity of the issue, I suggest contacting a professional technician to accurately repair the unit. Technician will need to check the inlet or outlet thermal limiter for continuity. If the thermal limiter is open, tech will need to check for evidence of high temperature event and any resulting damage. If no further damage is evident, the thermal limited and retest will need to be replaced.

Error Code E65 on Frigidaire Front Loader Model #LTF2940ESO

Thermostat issue - need a professional to complete the following:

For electric model, check inlet thermal limiter for continuity. If thermal limiter is open, check for evidence of high temperature event and any resulting damage. If no further damage is evident, replace thermal limiter. If no problems are found with the thermal limiter, check exhaust vent system for air blockages. If no problems with vent restrictions, check/replace high limit thermostat, and retest.

Does the Kenmore Series 700 dryer use circuit breakers or a thermal fuse to shutoff the heating element?

All Kenmore Electric Dryers use a thermal cut-off or thermal cut-out, hi-limit thermostat, and a cycling thermostat apart from the motor centrifugal switch as parts of the heating circuit. The thermal cut-off/thermal cut-out and the hi-limit thermostat are located on the heater duct/element duct while the cycling thermostat is located on the blower housing.

The thermal cut-off/cut-out serves as a safety measure and blows open should the dryer overheats or should the hi-limit thermostat fails to cut off power to the heating element. Check the continuity of the thermal cut-off/cut-out and if open, replace it including the hi-limit thermostat.

I have fridgidaire dryer and when I push the start button it just makes a buzzing noise but does not start

Unplug the dryer or disconnect power then remove the two screws securing the top panel to the rear and slide the panel backwards and off.

Behind the drum is the thermal limiter which is wired in series with the motor.

Check the continuity of the thermal limiter and if it reads open, replace it including the high-limit thermostat located on the heater housing (also shown in the picture above). Bypass the thermal limiter for troubleshooting purposes by joining the wires together and insulating it properly. If the dryer starts and runs properly with this setup, the thermal limiter is indeed open. If the dryer still does not start, jump a wire between the COM and NO terminals of the door switch. The dryer should start with the thermal limiter and door switch bypassed, otherwise bypass the motor relay on the control board. Replace control board if the dryer starts with the three bypassed, otherwise the motor is the one at fault and needs to be replaced.

check that the intake air vents are clear it must be able to breath freely and that the hot air can get away freely this is the most comon thing to pop the thermal limiter,,the only other part that will blow the limiter is the heating coils if they are geting to hot becouse of a short in a winding

Thermal limiter stops dryer; replaced multiple times. Dryer dead.

I think you are working on the wrong end. Check the fan and inlet ductwork of the dryer, if the air isn't moving properly, it will not move enough to keep the coils and limiters cool and they will fail after working properly a few times.
