Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
And when I restart the computer there is a short pop us message new hardware found and Autoinstall option of driver appears on the screen but when I close it and Try to install driver it shows message --->
Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.
Allow it to auto install the driver for the hardware. It's telling you that it requires a driver, either it is corrupted missing deleted, or any of a dozen reasons, two things that are quick fixes prior to spending a couple hours troubleshooting the machine. I assume it worked prior to today, so just do a restore to an earlier time, if the it for some reason doesn't install the proper driver. You can try installing form a disk, if you have the original disk from the laptops motherboard. other wise, go to Start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore, and allow it to restore itself to a date when all was working properly
