Without a brand and model number, here is my best thoughts on what to check;
1) Was the shut off valve for water going to the dishwasher turned on after new faucet install? Is it turned on now?
2) Is water getting to the dishwasher water inlet control valve?
3) If water is getting to the water inlet control valve, unplug the dishwasher and check the solenoid to see if it is shorted. Unplug the solenoid. Using an ohm meter, check for 500-1000 ohms resistance. If there is no resistance, it is most likely shorted and needs to be replaced.

Recently ran well low - no dishwasher not filling

Yes there is a screen in the water valve of the dishwasher. you'll have to shut off to the water line coming in to the dishwasher and disconnect the water line. then take off the water valve to get to the screen. you could have a stopped up screen or a bad solenoid switch on the valve.if you know how to use an ohm meter you can check the solenoid for continuity.

it is better to just replace the valve than to try to take the water valve apart and clean it.

you will want to check the float switch first before you do any of the above.

My dishwasher will drain but will not fill up with water ?

Hello there
Specific symptoms include: Little or no water enters the tub . To find the cause, first check to be sure the water is ON.

always “zero” the ohmmeter before making any continuity checks on dishwasher components. . When making continuity checks with the volt/ohmmeter, always turn the electricity OFF at the circuit breaker panel. Live voltage checks will damage the meter movement.With the water ON, remove the lower panel. Place a towel or shallow container on floor to absorb water. Loosen the nut that secures the dishwasher water tubing to the inlet port of the water inlet valve. If water collects immediately in the towel or container, it can safely be assumed that the water pressure is adequate and the plumbing system is not clogged . If little or no water collects in the container, the water line gate valve could be defective or there is a problem in the plumbing system.
Turn the water OFF. Remove the lower panel. Loosen and remove nut that attaches water tubing to water inlet valve inlet port. With tubing removed, check for corrosion and debris that has accumulated inside the tubing and inlet valve inlet port. . Turn the water supply ON. Select a cycle on the timer dial where the dishwasher starts to fill with water. If it starts to fill with water — you fixed it. The problem was corrosion inside the water tubing or inlet valve water inlet port. If the dishwasher still does not fill with water, an additional electrical check will have to be made.Next, test for electrical power to the water inlet valve from the dishwasher timer assembly. Using the volt/ohmmeter, set the meter on the 150-volt scale and attach the two test leads of the volt/ohmmeter to the two terminals of the water inlet valve solenoid coil to be checked. Turn the water ON. With the test leads attached to the solenoid terminals, select a cycle on the dishwasher timer dial where the dishwasher starts to fill with water. Push in or pull out the timer dial. You should get a voltage reading of 110-125 volts A/C on the volt/ohmmeter scale. If you get a reading, this would indicate that electricity is available from the dishwasher timer assembly to the water inlet valve.However, the absence of water flow means the water inlet valve is defective

Dishwasher won't start until running until at

The 2 minutes is most likely the "Fill" time in the cycle therefore since the water supply is active the fill solenoid is spent or not getting a signal.

No water coming into dishwasher

dishwasher will not fill with water: This is often the fill valve. You can test the fill valve coil for continuity with a ohm meter, no needle movement = bad fill valve. You can also test the fill valve for 120 volts at the fill valve with a volt meter, power there and no fill = bad fill valve. No 120 volts there, you will have to trace power back to find the trouble maker. Test things like the float and float switch, wires and timer. Fill valves are very bad for working once or twice and then quitting, if your dishwasher fills the first and second fill cycles and then no more water through the rest of the cycle, replace the fill valve. You will need to remove the access panels to get at the fill valve. Dishwasher fill valves also have a screen built into the valve entrance, this can also get all clogged up and need to be cleaned. ----- There's no water entering the machine If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these: Water-inlet valve Float switch Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

This condition is typically caused by faulty solenoid or solenoids at the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the supply hoses. Check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter and checking for continuity. A lack of continuity will indicate a faulty solenoid and the inlet valve assy will need to be replaced. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
