Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. Hello.

how to add music:

1. Turn on MP3 player, go to 'Settings', put USB mode to MSC
2. Connect MP3 player to the computer
3. Click the 'Start' button, go to 'My Computer'
4. Under my computer, there should be a drive labeled 'Removable Disk', this is the MP3 player,
5. Drag your audio files to this location (audio files have to be MP3 or UNPROTECTED Windows Media Audio Files)

SOURCE: i have the problem in playing videos on me coby mp605-2g

I work for COBY tech support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

Your player can only play videos that have been converted to .mtv format. This is achieved by using the MTV converter that should have come with your player. If you don't have it, please visit, www.cobyusa.com and in the product search type "MPC7095". Click on the link for the MTV Video Converter 1.12.11 and you'll be able to download the software to your pc. I recommend trying to convert .avi files only and be sure to set the fps and screen size to their proper settings. If you need assistance with this, please call the number above and one of our agents will walk you through it.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. I hope I've earned a positive rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Don't have instructions on how to download music and apps to my mp3 MP828-8G

Make sure that the battery is fully charged. Connect the MP player (while it is on) to a computer with a USB Mini-B (5-pin) to USB type A cable. This is a standard charging cable for older cell phones and tablets.

With Windows, you should see an Auto-play option for what you want to do with the device. Choose the Open Folder to View Files (Windows Explorer) option. Assuming the original software is still on the MP828, install the Coby Media Manager onto the computer. (This file is labeled Coby-cometlite.) If auto-play doesn't launch, open My Computer/Computer by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop. Find the new removable drive and double-click on it.

For Mac OSX, you'll need to launch the Finder Window and look for the removable media. Open the Mac OSX Coby Media Manager folder. Then find the coby-mediamanager.dmg file. Install the software.

You can transfer files with the Media Manager after launching the CMM program. Since the Coby MP3 player works like a removable USB drive, you could also drag and drop files from one folder onto the Coby MP3 player's folders

The manual for the Coby MP828 is available online here: http://assetserver.net/_Assets/Coby/PDF/MP8288GBLU-Manual.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing me to give my opinion about your situation. So what you are saying is that one month ago you bought a Coby MP828 MP4 player, but wanted to upgrade the memory, so you bought an 8GB Micro SD card. You can transfer music properly, but can't access files from the media player. Your memory device is shown but you can't create a playlist? Well Faizal, we need to first troubleshoot where the root of the problem is coming from, then find a way to solve it. I researched your device's technical specifications and have come up with some possible causes to the problem. The first possible cause could be the type of SD card you are using; the second possible cause is the type of file format you are using to save your files. I compared the Micro SD card and the Mini SD card and the differences between the two do not affect its compatability to the device, so it looks like you can use either one. You could obtain a mini SD card to see if that does the trick, but I don't think it'll make a difference. So it must be the type of file format you are using. The Coby MP828 MP4 player supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, ACC & WMA audio formats. If you are using something different than the formats shown above, that may be the reason why you can't upload your files. Another possible reason could be firmware or software. Your device doesn't offer any firmware updates, but you could try re-installing the Coby Media Manager software to see if that makes a difference. Since you wanted my opinion, I think the second possible cause (that being the file format) is why you can't make a playlist. I don't really know what else to offer you, but I hope this solution helps.

Don't know how to download songs

There are instructions and helps on coby's site which should show you the information you need ---http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num_id=10491&pcat_id=1001

this page has video tutorials http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=tutorial This one has a video on storing music which tells you how to transfer music to your player. To download them from itunes note what it says on the site here about file formats. They need to be mp3s. Then you can look at itunes or other places that have music you can purchase etc but make sure you choose Mp3s and not some other format like apple's which aren't mp3s.

I hope this gives you enough information. Btw the information on how to download from itunes is on itune's site.
