Hi and welcome to FixYa,

While others addressed directly the mouse, may I suggest the USB port itself:

  • right click on Computer or My Computer;
  • click on Properties;
  • Proceed to Hardware/Device Manager;
  • scroll all the way down;
  • click on + to expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers;
  • on all USB Root Hub, right click & click on Properties;
  • click on Power Management tab;
  • un-check "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  • a reboot may be necessary.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Start menu.... control panel .... power options .... (if you are using vista you need to click on hardware and sounds to find it)... set the option to high performance... that will stop it from going into sleep mode.

Ensure that you are using alkaline batteries , and that batteries are well charged.

The keyboar does not go on sleep mode, it probably loses syncronisation with the bluetooth receiver.

Wnsure that keyboard and receiver are not too far, and that there is no obstacle in the middle.

Hi

To prevent a USB mouse from going to sleep mode

  1. click to open device manager
  2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. In the list of device categories, expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  4. Right-click the entry for the USB mouse, and then click Properties.
  5. In the Mouse Properties dialog box, click the Power Management tab, clear the Allow this device to wake the computer check box, and then click OK.

    if u have problem to restart run system config

    System Configuration is an advanced tool that can help identify
    problems that might prevent Windows from
    starting correctly. You can start Windows with
    common services and startup programs turned off and then turn them back on, one
    at a time. If a problem does not occur when a service is turned off, but does
    occur when turned on, then the service could be the cause of the problem.

The sensor is not working properly .

There is no solution you need to replace it .

Repairing it is tiresome work .

It will work if the distance is very less.

I would say it is in the Hibernation Mode To get it out of this mode you need to go to your Control Panel, open "POWER OPTION'S" and deselect the Hibernation mode then reboot.

When you say computer clock do you mean the LED read out on the mother board? if so the numbers you are seeing are error codes you will need the mother board manual to know what those codes mean. If you don't have the manual it's possible you can go to the mother board manufacturers web site and download one then you can look up the codes to see what the problems are. Hope this helps

Wireless key board & mouse

  • Decide where the keyboard will be placed, whether it is on your desk or a table. Spend a little time experimenting with positions and placement to make sure your wrists and arms will be comfortable. You should consider ergonomics before you set up the keyboard to avoid repetitive motion injuries later on.
  • Step 2 Install the batteries (usually three AA) in your wireless keyboard. Replace the cover securely so the batteries are connected properly. Turn the keyboard on.
  • Step 3 Get out the wireless receiver that came with your keyboard. Position it close to your computer, but not closer than about 8 inches, as the computer itself can cause interference with the wireless signal. You will also want to set the receiver away from other interference-causing devices, such as radios, TVs and telephones.
  • Step 4 Ensure that your wireless receiver is no more than about 6 feet away from where you plan to set your keyboard.
  • Step 5 Insert the CD containing the accompanying software into your computer. A dialog box should appear on your screen. If the install instructions don't pop up right away, manually access the CD by double-clicking its icon or selecting it from the Start menu.
  • Step 6 Plug the wireless receiver into a free USB portmag-glass_10x10.gif on your computer. If you don't have any ports remaining on your computer, you can use an external USB hub instead.

    OK I JUST GOT MY COMPUTER FROM STORAGE AND I HOOKED IT UP AND IT SAYS ON SAFE MODE PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE BUT MY KEYBOARD OR MOUSE DONT WORK

    Turn on your computer and than when it goes into safe mode hold the power button. Then turn it on. It should prompt you to start in windows mode, start normal, or repair i believe, Your keyboard should work so go to normal and press enter. If your keyboard doesnt work it has a timer and will auto select the highlighted one which should be start normally. After starts normally it should register your mouse and keyboard and you should be fine

    Hope this helps ^^. Please dont forget to rate, Thanks

    Hi, No need to turn off the mouse. Just walk away after shutting down the PC. Your mouse will "go to sleep" by itself. It usually takes my husbands mouse a few minutes but it does go to sleep. Hope this helps.

    Stuck in sleep mode

    Make sure all of the fans on your computer are free from dust and dirt. Unplug the computer from the mains and open the casing, hoover away any dust and dirt, then take out clean and resit your RAM and your Graphics card.

    This could be caused by dirty RAM, dirty Graphics or just a build up of dust causing it to overheat.

    I hope this helps

    Trying to change the power management option in the bios

    control panel >power options has all the settings to change what mode the computer goes into when you close the lid eg.sleep hiberante etc. so set that up for starters. when you close the lid on some laptops they go into hibernation which can be difficult to come out of. I find it best to put the computer in sleep mode when i go for a break, then it only takes one push of the button to continue where i left off
    you can extend or turn off stanby or have it go into sleep mode automatically in the power option setting, and while in control panel check wireless keyboard has full control. The click of the mouse should reactivate it from standyby so try sleep for now.
    I hope this knowledge helps you
    good luck
