Sp3 toshiba satellite l20 182

Installed sp3 and my laptop since this moment doesnt want to start. it only shows "operating system not found". i think its a wrong sata driver, but i looked for it almost everywere and i cant find. i want to uninstall sp3, but system doesnt want to start. maybe recovery console or something? i know, that sp3 made a backup of system files, but i don''t know how to recover them at all, when my system is broken.

recovery console does not want to start. when starting from xp boot cd, it loads drivers, but there's a error - there's no drivers for storage drive, press S, and blablabla. when it tries to read from hdd i hear a strange sound. i think sp3 installed some kind of stupid matrix storage drivers, it can't see my hdd, or reading very ,very slow. laptop is toshiba satellite l20 182 (psl2xe). i think i should recover disc driver, but i dont know how to do it. sorry for my boken english

I would start by popping in the XP disk and getting in to recovery console (R at the first screen). Once there, run these commands:

fixboot c:
fixmbr
exit

This will rewrite the boot sector and master boot record on your drive. The "operating system not found" typically only happens when the boot sector is messed up. If that works and Windows loads, click Start -> Run and type

eventvwr

Click System on the left pane and, on the right side, click Source. Go to the "D" section and see if you have disk errors. It's a good bet that if your boot sector gets compromised, you're hard drive is about to crash and disk errors are being logged.

Funny sounds plus slowness confirms what I was fearing in the first place. There is a deeper problem here - your hard drive has crashed. If you know of a talented recovery expert, you can maybe get an image of your hard drive created on a new drive. Once that is done, you'll be back in business like nothing ever happened. If an image isn't possible, I don't know what your priorities are. You either want your data back, or need your computer.

Getting your computer back in business will require you purchase a new hard drive. They run about 50USD or 60USD for a replacement. Once you get that, you need to put it in your laptop and run the Windows disk and any other recovery disks you got with your Toshiba.

Your data can most likely be recovered by a place like Gillware for a flat fee. Their address ishttp://www.gillware.com/.

Since your computer is an older model, I think you will start to see more things going wrong. You may want to start setting aside a little cash for another system.

Why is my Toshiba Satellite L505D-GS6000 Wifi driver not found?? After resetting, checking device manager, trying fn+f8, and dowloading the driver it still doesn't show up!!!

Sounds like a bad wireless card or the card slot.I would try replacing the wireless card. When wireless cards go bad they either cause the laptop to not boot, low or no signal reception or the card isn't seen at all by the motherboard or operating system or .both.If it isn't showing in device manager either with a caution sign or installed the card is most likely bad

How to re install xp on laptop toshiba satellite 1715-s173

Either get a fresh copy of XP with sp3 on it (microsoft doesnt't support anything before that now) and boot off cd and follow the instructions till done. Or use the recovery/operating system disc your laptop came with if you have it and reload your computer. You'll probably have another disc with the drivers for your hardware (network adaptors, etc.) in the computer. Make sure you reload drivers for anything you added and make sure you have installation discs for any programs you added and want to keep. When using the manufacturer's disc your computer will be just like it was fresh outta the store. Including the junkware that was on it (offers, AOL, trial anti-virus, etc.). If you can find a legitimate copy of XP SP3 (I bought one and kept it for later) you can load xp only onto your computer (junkware free) and start totally fresh for real. Install your software and away you go! Be sure to put firewall on before going on internet!

Sp3 and wpa2psk wont install

Particularly I think the problem is not in Wi-Fi connection for your laptop, but the configuration of your router, try using wpa security checks and only connection, besides if you give before you upgrade the service pack, the connection works properly. Additionally if you give before you upgrade the service pack, the connection works properly.
