Is anyone having an issue with the strap for a Polar RC3 HRM?

I have had my Polar RC3 for several weeks. However, I am having to replace the battery in the strap every 8 or 9 days. Anyone else have any ideas?

SOURCE: can not change battery on Polar chest strap

Yes, there are a few.
1) As you may noticed, coin and even screwdriver blades are never sharp, but mostly blunt. So, sharpen the edge of the coin on a piece of sandpaper. Get hardened steel screwdriver or very sharp, pointed end file and scrape that indention (groove) to make sure the channel have straight sides, forming I_I shaped groove, but not V shaped groove. When done, insert the sharpened coin and unscrew the battery cover using some pressure as well.
2) In case if the groove is stripped completely, you will have to drill two small holes into the battery cover. Drill them 1mm from the battery cover's edge on opposite sides. Depth of holes should be 0.5 mm. Do not drill through completely. For drilling use 0.3-0.5 mm diameter drill bit.
When finished with both holes, take hardened tweezers, insert each arm into separate hole and unscrew the battery cover.
Do not forget to rate, please.

SOURCE: Polar electro oy CE0537-T41 N2965 chest strap Does

No. all the solid rubber straps are sealed in batteries. Only the T-31 wealink has a replaceable battery. The T-31 will work with your S-150 watch. If you need a replacement because yours has stopped working then that is an option. It's about $10- more.

Polar AXN300 Heart Rate Monitor Watch HRM AXN300 is not showing pulse

I would think it is the sensor circuit in the watch. When you replaced the battery did you activate the processor all reset for the watch? I do not know on your model where or how this would be activated.

Electronic watches normally have a reset procedure for when the battery is changed. Very important the watch's processor reset is performed after changing the battery. This is not any of the user readings reset. This is a reset for the watch's processor and system. It is sometimes a contact that has to be shorted out with the jeweler's screwdriver, or it is a contact that has to be shunted, or etc., depending on the model. Maybe if you call the support for the watch they will tell you this. Normally they do not like the user opening the watch.

Watch won't read heart rate

It could be the battery on the strap is not good. However just to be sure make sure you are wetting the strap and it is around chest, front should sit right about on the bottom of pectoral or chest, if you are female make sure it is under your sports bra the bra band will be over it. I would start warming up then hit the start button it should work.

Garmin 405 pair to wrong HRM

I Have had the same problem couple of times (and forgotten each time how I solved it). I figured it out just now and this is what I did.

1) turn on unit and put on heart monitor (make sure battery is good and wet heart strap)
2) using the mode button navigate the menus to: Settings: General: Accessories: Heart Rate Monitor
3) Once in the Heart Rate Monitor option make sure "Yes" is selected and then use the arrow buttons to highlight "Restart Scan" . Press the enter button to rescan for your heart monitor. (I had to rescan twice)
Go back to the main monitor screen to see if you are recieving heart rate signals.

I am not sure why a manual rescan needs to be done every time but it would be nice if Garmin fixed this issues in a unit software update (my unit has software version 2.80)

Polar F11 not responding

I' advise to start with battery check. If the battery is ok, then you will need a professional to find the cause of malfunction.

Polar CS 200 chest strap appears to be sending signal to the HRM sporadically, and therefore heart rate displays zero. I changed the battery, but this did not help.

Just read that you need to wash the belt in a washing machine and/or check the snaps for corrosion. My 200sd is doing the same thing so will try this when I get home tonight.

HRM troubleshoot

A HRM is a training tool that helps you do cardiovascular (CV) training correctly, neither too hard, nor too easy. It’s almost like having a personal coach on your wrist! Every HRM comes in two parts: 1. An elasticated chest strap which contains a pair of sensors that detect and transmit your heart rate. 2. A wrist worn receiver that receives the signal from the chest strap and displays your heart rate. The receiver may also have additional functions and display other information depending upon the HRM model chosen. Both the chest strap and receiver are battery operated.
