Phone beeping!

I have a BT Freestyle 2200 twinset. The additional handset has taken to beeping three times periodically. I have replaced the batteries and deregistered and then re-registered the set but the beeping won't stop. Any ideas?

on some phones the beep refers to a voice mail message that has been left on your answerphone which will be left at the BT server, you can dial 1571 to retrieve the message.
Other than that if you have re registered the phone correctly following the instructions on page 22 of the below manual, return the set as faulty.
