How do I calculate z score on TI-36X Pro?

To convert an x value to a z-score, the formula is:
(x value - mean)/standard deviation

Example: We have a number of height measurements that have a mean of 65.25 and a standard deviation of 2.84. One value is 68.5. To convert it to a z-score: (68.5-65.25)/2.84 = 1.144

Hope this helps!

How to calculate deck shuffleboard points?

Deck Shuffleboard points are calculated after all the pucks are shot. Points only count if the entire puck is inside of one of the numbered scoring areas. If a player knocks another player's puck out of the scoring area, that puck is no longer scored. If a puck is touching the side of a numbered section, it is not scored.

About the formula in z-score

  • The formula for calculating a z-score (or standard score) is:
    z = (x - μ) / σ
  • The variables in the z-score formula are:
    z = z-score
    x = raw score or observation to be standardized
    μ = mean of the population
    σ = standard deviation of the population
  • Example of a z-score calculation:
    You have an observation of 14.75, a population mean of 12.2, and a standard deviation of 1.75. Therefore, the z-score would be:
    z = (14.75 - 12.2) / 1.75
    z-score = 1.46
