    Hello,

I think I can help. There are several areas that need to be explored here.

1st - You may need to cleanup the internet temporary files (Done through the browser)

2nd - Your computer may need to be defragged (takes time to complete), but does wonders.

3rd - You may need also need to perform a disk cleanup.

Please let me know if this helps and you have any further questions.

    Thank You,

    Raphael

4) Go to the windows folder and empty the Temp (You can delete it and make sure that You create another Temp folder)
5) Defragment the Registry (You can do that by using software like Tune Up utilities).

How can i free space for my virtual memory ?i don't need a solution for increasing the size of virtual memory instead i want to free space that has been occupied in the virtual memory.

Hey, You got to free space on your hard drive. The virtual memory resides on your hard drive. but if the hard drive is getting full, this will reduce the virtual memory. So make home for virtual memory by free space on your hard drive.

My pendrives are infected with severine.exe which use to create folders of 138kb.i got avg AV,its has removed those but i m not able to access my data they are nt displayed on screen.tough during scaning...

if the data is still occupying space but is hidden, try this,
1. open notepad
2. type in "attrib -r -s -h /s /d" without the quotes.
3. click on [file] menu on the notepad and click on [save].
4. on the dialog box that appears save as unhide.bat and select save as type [all files].
5. Save the file.
Browse to your pendrive and copy the file in it(*DO NOT create a folder and put it in it wont work)
6. Double click on the file (unhide.bat)
7.Your folders should become visible.

If you formated your drive you can recover your data by use of recovery software like one on this site http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm and choose FAT.6497945.jpg

My computer starts, but it is soo slow. and when the deskyop does load up, i cant click on anything. and hwne i can it doesnt actually do anything. i want to restore faxctory settings but i have no discs

You have something hogging your PC resources and or a virus.

To start. Start the PC but before it starts to load windows press the F8 key to get the pre-boot menu. Select Safe Mode and it will boot into windows with only the core functions running.

Go to control panel add/remove programs and remove all uneccessary programs. You should also try and keep 10% of your hard drive space free.

Go to run and type in msconfig then press enter
Go to startup tab and untick all unneccesary items.

Go back to Run and type chkdsk/f
This will force a full check disk and fix after restarting.

Once you can boot into windows even if it is still slow, ensure you have a good antivirus. You can get a avast home for free from www.avast.com
Install this and run a full system scan.

Then download Spybot Search and Destroy from www.download.com and install, select immunize and then, update and do a full scan which could take a while if you have loads of files.

Then do windows updates.

After most things, right click on My Computer and properties, then system tools and then deframent, run a degragment on C drive and then all other hard drives.

The whole process is probably going to take you around 2 days withthe scanning and defragmenting.

Alternatively if you have backups of your data, you can format your drive do a clean re-install of Windows Operating System.

I am getting _rar files on my c drive which is eating up my memory and the system is getting very slow

Uncompress the rar files and check for the contents and keep only those files you require and delete the rest else move to some other partition on which your OS doesnt reside. Also check for the recycle bin. If you have deleted files but havent deleted from the recycle then also your hard drive space would be occupied so make sure you empty the recycle bin regularly to have sufficient space for virtual memory for the OS.
