SOURCE: Where do I feed my paper into the Sharp El-1801P calculator

Hello, my name is Curtis, I am a Sharp Customer Servicer Rep. Normally the calculator would have a thin slot on the back, where you would feed the paper through, then once you press the paper in till it hits an inner wall, you would press the feed key which is on the upper left side of the calculator. If there are any problems doing this please call our technical support line at 1-800-237-4277, I am very glad to hear you like the calculator though!!!

SOURCE: Replacement paper roll size???

Your calculater takes 2 1/4 inch wide standard rolls of paper. These rolls are available all over the place so you should have no trouble finding the rolls.

I have an old Sharp EL-1701C calculator and for some reason can not feed a new roll of paper into the unit? Batteries are new and the feed option works well, just doesn't grab the paper roll to start?

you may need to cut the corners off a little bit on the start of the new roll and feed the paper in while advancing with the calculator advance control/button

Sharp calculator EL-1197P III paper feed stuck

Hi

I trust you are well.

This might be trivial however when you replace your paper roll the edge of the edge paper must be cut straight otherwise the paper will not feed correctly.

Hope this solution is as easy as that, If not open the claculator paper feed compartment and check the gear mechanism for chipped teeth or foreign objects stuck inside.

Hope this helps you
Kind regards

Trying to put in a new paper roll

Turn off the Sharp EL-1801V.

  • 2 Cut the end of the replacement paper roll for a fresh edge and to ensure a smooth feed. Do not tear the paper roll, as feeding a torn paper roll can cause a paper jam.
  • 3 Insert the cut edge into the paper opening on the back of the Sharp EL-1801V. Hold the paper roll so that the edge being fed into the machine is coming from the bottom of the roll. Turn the power on.
  • 4 Press the "Feed" button until the paper is fed through the unit. Lift the metal paper roll holder up. Slide the paper roll onto the paper-roll holder.

Hello, my name is Curtis, and I am a Sharp Customer Service Rep. What you will want to do is on the back of the calculator there should be a thin horizontal slot that you would feed the paper through, it will only feed so far before it hits a wall on the inside, make sure the calculator is turned on and press the feed key in the upper left side of the calculator, it should take up the paper, if not then give us a call at 1-800-237-4277 or 1-800-BE-SHARP. Make sure that it is installed properly ... going under not OVER. Does the paper feed when the paper feed key is depressed ??

    1. Lift the paper holder up.
    2. Fold the leading edge of the paper roll 3 to 5 cm. (Do not fold it slantwise.)
    3. Insert the paper roll from the left side of the paper holder and make sure the paper
roll is set in the proper direction (with the paper feeding from the bottom).
    4. Insert the leading edge of the paper into the opening directly behind the print
    mechanism.
    5. Press the paper feed key and feed the paper under the edge of the paper cutter.
