Casio Telememo 30 I need to change my battery again. I did this once before and seem to remember having to short the watch using a hole in the movement inside the casing. I can't find a source for that...

There are plenty of watches around where you can find writing Shortcut battery and AC. Some writings explain how many times you have to shortcut and for how long as well. Make sure you read exactly what it says and do exactly what it says. Shortcut is needed to restore all watch settings and to make all functions work properly. Shortcut must be done right after replacing watch battery, before any settings. Please note - if you are not quick enough with battery replacement, all previous data from watch memory will be lost. Usual max time for battery replacement is 3 minutes. So, when you decide to replace battery, do it as fast as you can, just make sure do not damage the watch in a rush. When the new battery is in place and in right position, get an eyeglass or magnifying glass and carefully examine watch movement all way around. You should find brass/silver coloured contact with letters AC next to it or even on it. This is exact point for shortcut. Take fine pointed tweezers and touch with one pointed end battery's + and with another end AC contact and hold for 3 seconds. If writing in the watch says Shortcut twice, then do it twice for 3 seconds. When shortcut is done, your watch is ready for use and you can set the desired time, date, month and so on.Hope this will help for everyone who want's to save few quid on watch repairer charges. There are plenty of watches around where you can find writing Shortcut battery and AC. TACHYMETER/TACHOMETER - how to use it.

Many of watch brands has outer bezel ring calibrated as TACHYMETER/ TACHOMETER. In simple words this is SPEEDOMETER on your wrist, like in your car. The only difference is: it does not work automatic, but you have to have some maths basics in your brain to make work it.
The main thing is: As second is taken as measuring point (any wristwatch is moving sec by sec, min by min, hr by hr and so on), there is no actual possibility to measure speeds less than 60 km/h. This is because our time is divided to hours, minutes and seconds (1 hr=60 mins= 3600 secs), but ordinary watch on your wrist can't count smaller than a second, so, the starting point still is 60 for the majority.
The best watch tachymeters are producing/manufacturing BREITLING, as they have very long relationship with aviators all over the world. Braitling watches can count up to 1/10 of second.
OK, here is the link to learn basics of how to use tachymeter:

I have moisture in the center of my watch face. It is a circle shape, right in the center of the face. Looks like it is fogged up, like steam.

Hi Its condensation if its a watch with a button to set the hand then pull it out to its max and put your watch in a nice worm place over night would be good.
its important to get it dry as soon as possible to stop it going rusty

Under the settings, limits, the limits on the max HR stop @ 100. I want to increase the setting on max hr but it stops @ 100 and then returns to 18. help [polar F4]

Go into settings.

Press the center button on the right hand side of the watch 1 time you will see settings watch time & date appear in the display.

Press the bottom button on the right side of the watch1 time to get into the TRAINING SETTINGS FUNCTION.

When you see TRAINING SETTINGS in the display press the center button on the right side of the watch once.

You are in TRAINING SETTING mode.

Press the bottm button on the right hand side of the watch 3 times until you see
ZONE LIMITS displayed.

When you see ZONE LIMITS displayed press the center button on the right side of the watch 1 time to enter into the ZONE LIMITS FUNCTION.

Now, you should see the lower end heart rate limit number blinking.

To adjust this number use the top button on the right hand side of the watch to increase this limit or lower button on the right hand side to decrese it.

When you have it set where you want it press the center button 1 time to save that setting.

Now you should see the upper limit number blinking.

Follow the same steps to set the upper heart rate limit.

When you have pressed the ceter button to set the upper limit you have completed setting the heart rates limits and the display should read: LIMITS SET!

Heart rate zones

Heart rates are known by the garmin software as zones, numeroted 1 up to 9.
You can set on the software your heart rate, based on :
- HR max ;
- intermediate HR, linked to the zones.
Then, when you upload a session in the software, you will analyze the zones you ran in.

Another tip : to set on the Garmin itself, the Zones to ON,then Z0 to ON, and Z0 HRM to ON : here you can indicate your HRM low (ex : 165 for me) and the HRM High (185 for example). Then during your session, an up or down arrow will appear, indicate if you run below your HRM low (aerobic zone), your anaerobic zone (betwin HRM Low and High) or in VO2 max.

Hoping that's clear and that can help you.

Polar F6

Hello,

It sounds like most of you have the heart rate set to display in % of max heart rate. Most Polar products have the option of heart rate in BPM(beats per minute) or percentage of max.

If you look at the display during the exercise, you will see a % icon. You can turn it off in by hitting the back button and go down to HR view settings.

Hope this helps.

Nike Triax Speed 100

Hi Symjoc. I can't find a way to comment there, so I will reply here.
Did you try asking the dealer on Ebay if there's warranty, if not, you can always try to sell it back.
