SOURCE: Large blue band appeared on lower tray following wash cycle,

So. We had the same problem tonight and I have been sitting lookin at this thing for an hour and decided to run it and see what happened with no rubber band in there. After the cycle was over I noticed that my wife washes those "snap wear" containers in the dishwasher and these items have colored coated Mylar bands as sealers. When they heat they expand and can be dislodged. It was a coincidence that it wrapped itself around the bottom spinner. Myth debunked!!!!!

FD1050 DISHWASHER (BLACK)

hi there,

that would be the tub gasket. the d/w will work fine but you may experience a leak down the road.

i would put it back on, unless it's broken.

thanks

possible you have not pushed seal in far enough hence door not closing fully. press fairly hard and see if it then starts
