It seems there could be one of three problems, you are right, it could be the fact that you need to install the drivers again, and if you do not have a disk go to the company website. Second if you have to many things plugged into your usb ports it could drain the power from the remaining port and it might not have enough power to run it. Third there might be a problem with the usb port all together and you could start by finding a driver for that or replacing it. Hope i could help
Hi, just had the same problem after restoring my system.
You must disconnect and update your Windows Media Player to Number 11. My reinstall left me at WMP 9 and it wouldn't recognise my Clip. Go to the Windows website, follow the download instructions, and you should be fine. When you plug in the Sansa Clip or MP3, it should recognise it right away. Hope this helps!
Down load the firmware on Sansa's website. I have a Sansa 250R and it wouldn't work with the new replacement usb (Griffin) cord I bought at Best Buy. So I bought a Sansa Fuze and the cord that came with it worked on the E250R. Huh? Yeah, go figure...and oh, that replacement Griffin usb cord I bought worked fine with the new Fuze. I came real close to buying a new battery for the E250R but instead invested that money in the Fuze.
i just moved back with my family and do not have my computer though my sister has an ipod USB cord but my sansa MP3 player 6.0GB wont recharge, how can i get my sister's computer to recognize my MP3 player?
