Re: plays on wrong channel
Ok i downloaded and read your DVR-1000 manual , this is what you will do .
While the DVD+VCR is turned off, press and hold CHANNEL (up/down) button on the front panel for about five seconds.
The unit will turn itself on and “RF 03” or “RF 04” appears on the front panel display
Use CH ( up / down ) button on the front panel or CH ( up / down ) button on the remote control to change the RF output channel (CH 03 or CH 04).
Turn the DVD+VCR off and then on
Set the TV to channel 3 or 4 depending on the RF output channel you selected. Now you can watch the DVD+VCR playback on CH3 or CH4 of your TV
PS , you should see a child lock button on the remote , if you press that button , you will disable front panel button controls so kids can't change anything , press it again to unlock that feature , it might come in handy.

That might be the TV output channel. I found these instructions in a Sanyo manual:
How to set the DVD+VCR's RF output channel
Set the TV to the VCR channel (3 or 4) depending upon the selected channel.
When the DVD+VCR is turned off, press and hold CHANNEL (V/v) on the front panel for more than five seconds. It will turn itself on and "RF03" or "RF04" appears in the dis-play window.
Press CHANNEL (V/v) on the front panel or CH/TRK(v/V) on the remote control to change the RF output channel (CH 03 or CH 04).
Turn off the DVD+VCR.
1) Set your TV to channel 3. 2) Insert a pre-recorded tape into this unit. 3) Press the OUTPUT button on the DVD/VCR so that the VCR OUTPUT light is lit. • If noise appears on the TV screen, press the VCR/TV button on the remote control. 4) Press the PLAY button once. 5) After a few seconds, press the PLAY button on the DVD/VCR for 3 seconds. • The RF output channel will change to channel 3 from channel 4 and you will see a playback picture. • When a picture does not appear on the TV screen, repeat step . 6) Press the STOP button to stop playback.
First, make sure the wiring is ok, any outside cable connection (box) wire from the out..should be plugged into the in on the dvd.vcr... and the wire out from the dvd.vcr to the tv...... now make sure the tv and dvd/vcr is both on Ch 3...........(if cable / sat this will select the ch)..... ok test it pick a channel.........press rec on the vcr,,, 30 seconds is long enough... stop rewind press play ..... yeeay.........
do you want to record programs on your vcr? connect the out to tv cable from your dir/tv box to antenna or cable in on the vcr, then connect the cable from out to tv on the vcr to antenna or cable in on the tv, you'll have to select channel 3 on the tv to get the vcr to show a picture and you will need to select channel 3 on your vcr to record the channel selected on your dir/tv box. confusing?thanks and good luck.
There should be a DVD/VCR button on the remote control which will toggle the machine from one playback source to another. If she has pressed the VCR button then the machine will only playback tapes & not show DVD's. Press this button & the DVD's should play. If you look closely at the front window of the machine it will show what mode it is in ie VCR or DVD, set this for the DVD to get it to play.
How to set the DVD Recorder+VCR’s RF output channel
Turn off the DVD Recorder+VCR, then press and hold
CH (v/V) on the front panel for about five
seconds to change the RF output channel (CH 03 or
CH 04). “RF 03” or “RF 04” appears on the front panel display.
Cable Service With Cable Box
If a cable box is required in your cable system, follow the
instructions shown below. This hookup permits both TV and
DVD Recorder+VCR operation.
To view or record a CATV channel:
1 Tune the TV to the correct video input channel.
2 Set the DVD Recorder+VCR to the output channel of the
cable box using the CH (v / V) or the 0-9 keys on your DVD
Recorder+VCR (e.g., CH3).
3 Select the channel you wish to view on the cable box.
If you lost the remote for a zenith television and want play a movie on an input, use the channel up/down buttons to navigate. Ususally if your on ch 2, press the down button. Line 1/2 will appear on a blackscreen if the device is off. Otherwise, I have had great success using a GE universal remote with my Zenith tv/vcr combo unit. (by the way, I work for the technical support department for my city's local cable company)
Hi-I used to be a DirecTV installer. Depending on the type of reciever you have, there are yellow/red/white or red/green/blue outputs on the back. You will need to run the dvd/vcr through these and then change the tv to video 1/ video2, or AVI, CV1, CV2, Front (or whatever acronymn your tv has) when you want to switch between the componet and the reciever.... you should only need to change the tv channel to be able to use the dvd player. I've found that vcr's usually need to be on channel 3 and if DirecTV is using ch 3, you may have to slide the button on the back of the reciever to ch 4 instead.
I have a lightning mcqueen 13' tv model# C1310ATV, and a little purple car-DVD player model # C8000 for my grandson, I cannot get dvd to play on tv? Should I hook it up(dvd) to back of tv or the front of tv, and if so, is there a switch over button for dvd to normal tv watching. TV is hooked up to Direct tv and plays fine. But can't get dvd to play on tv, I've tryed channels 2, 3, and 4. But no picture. Again is there a switch over button or auxiliary button or ???
Your help and consideration, concerning this problem will be greatly appreciated by my grandson and myself. Thanks
