Top header bar will have the account name for the company she needs to work on but she can not get to any of the accounts or records or reports.

  • eljae Jan 25, 2009

After entering my password on the Quickbooks login screen, my company name and Quickbooks 2005 shows at the top but is sort of grayed out and absolutely nothing can be accessed. I am not even able to minimize or exit. The only way to close it is through my windows task manager which says the program is running and that it is waiting for a response from me.

    Suggestions?

    Same as eljae...HELP!

It appears fine until I click to open something and everything becomes "grey". Then when I try to click out and the only way is through ctrl.alt.delete, the message box says that it cannot close because it is waiting for a response from me. This happened all of a sudden...it was fine the day prior.

    open program panel not active

  • Anonymous Apr 29, 2009

I have same problem described by 5 others in FixYa. QB2005 Pro loads up and i'm prompted for usn/pw but once entered i get a blank grey screen below the displayed pulldown menu bar and icon bar and any click produces a bell and the only way to close the QB app is to cntl-alt-del and end task.

I've tried rebooting; that didn't work. Am looking hard for help to avoid trying a uninstall/reinstall.

    toggle on the
toolbar is by checking the Show Command Buttons in the Configure
[Company] Toolbar command (on the File menu).

please make sure the user is logged on inside of quickbooks and not just to the computer. please let me know if this is not the problem.

We have a QB's Admin-level usn/pw in addition to the bookkeeper's usn/pw. I just tried the Admin-level usn/pw and my QB Pro file loaded normally! After this success, i closed QB Pro and then reopened it and tried the bookkeeper's usn/pw and now it works!

I delted toolbars to make my window bigger and now I can't get the toolbars back. I don't have anything to click on - just the windows that are open.

The Firefox "menu bar" includes dropdown menus for various tasks (including "File", "Edit", etc.). If the menu bar does not display, press the "Alt" key (if you are using Windows). That will restore the menu bar temporarily. To restore it permanently, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Menu bar

The Firefox "navigation toolbar" includes the "back", "forward", "reload" buttons, and the address bar (where you type a web address). If the navigation bar does not display, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Navigation toolbar

The Firefox "bookmarks toolbar" displays frequently used bookmarks. If the bookmark toolbar does not display, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Bookmarks toolbar

My mozilla firefox window no longer shows menu or navigation bars. How restore?

Hi pbqsf
The Menu bar and the navigation toolbar have been disabled. You can enable it by following the steps below:
1) Open firefox
2) Press the 'Alt' key on keyboard (Pressing this button temporarily brings back the Menu bar)
3) When the Menu bar shows up, right click on an empty area right next to Help as shown in the picture

4) Now select the Menu bar option and the Navigation toolbar.

Now, your Menu bar and Navigation toolbar will be up.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Tool bar for computer gone how do i find tool bars in my computer

"FILE, EDIT or VIEW" options on the top.

  1. Open Internet Explorer, and make sure that it is running properly. If you receive any error messages upon opening it, your best bet is to reinstall Explorer rather than customize the options as new add-ons have likely caused serious problems. If it runs properly, however, continue to the next step.
  2. Check to see that the menu bar is visible. If the menu bar is missing, you will have to make it reappear. Right-click anywhere below the "Title Bar" (the bar which shows the Internet Explorer icon and the name of the current website) and any other visible menu bars. Then be sure that the "Menu Bar" has a check mark beside it on the window that appears. Click "Menu Bar" if there is no check.
  3. Click on "View" in the menu bar. Then click on "Toolbars" from that menu. This will bring up a list of available tool bars. To make the one you want appear, simply click its name, making sure that a check appears next to the name.
  4. Restart Internet Explorer. Some toolbars will reappear immediately. Others require a restart. But restart the application anyway to make sure that your new preferences are saved.
  5. Reinstall any extra toolbar applications if they do not appear in the Toolbar menu.
Please try this and see if anything help's.

Windows has lost the display driver for your particular card. You will need to determine what the card is (it may say when you first start the machine) and redownload the drivers for it.
