I have a Kenwood KDC-Bt648u with an XM radio adapter. It has worked fine for the last 20 months but when I started my truck today it no longer shows that it has a satellite radio. I have unplugged the radio and pushed the rest button but no luck. Does anyone know

There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.

I had this problem! It was the Cars Battery. Kenwoods unit's fade or go completely blank when there is little power to power the stereo. Try charging your battery or grabing a new one from a scrappy! I was all over the net looking for help but finally sorted it!
P.S. My younger brother had to do the exact thing and it worked for him as well!!!

These have ribbon cables that go from the display to the main board that must be replaced. If you would like the part numbers let me know and I will post them here. Or you could take it to a service center and have them do it for you. This may be your best option since it will require soldering a connector on the cable which is a very delicate job. It is easy to damage the cable if not done right.
