Question about Canon PIXMA MP530 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Loud clicking/vibraton noise after printing when heads reset

This happens each time a printing job is finished. A minute or two later the heads go to the home position and in doing so the rather loud noise is heard. Like the print heads are hung up for a few seconds.

I don't know if it's the same issue or not, but both of my Canon inkjet printers--i560 and i4500--react a lot the same: one minute after print job is complete, there is a racket for 10-15 seconds, then it's over. I thought I read somewhere that Canon inkjets will "clean" their jets after a little delay, assuming printing is over for a while and it is in stand-by till the next one; which gets me to frantically setting up my next job, if I have several separate ones in a row, so it doesn't "clean" again, which I assume consumes ink. I could be all wet about this, and would love to get some real on what's really going on...

Follow instruction into the manual and to a reset to factory defaults. This should align and correct the issue. If not you have defective heads. Contact the factory for warranty replacement.

My photosmarts ink cartridge keeps jamming after printing 3 to 4 sheets of 8 sheet printing job. I open the prniter and reset. It finishes the job but keeps happening on every print job. I am using HP...

You didn't refill them yourself, did you? HP cartridges seem to really hate anyone putting ink into them. They never seem to seal right after that.
I would try to clean your head contacts and the printer heads themselves.
You can use a soft cloth (like microfiber, like what you would clean glasses with) to clean the contact heads.
You can check with your manual to see how to do a print head cleaning. They vary by machine, so there is no blanket answer.
One other setting to check on, although it has nothing to do with the heads - be sure to right click on your printer
(Start>Control Panel>Printers>(your printer))
and choose the PROPERTIES. Click on the ADVANCED tab.
Make sure that "ALWAYS AVAILABLE" is chosen, and that you have the PRIORITY set to 99. That will give you the best printing possible.

Lexmark C510 is making grinding noises while printing large jobs

I found another posting stating that the culprit was the black toner cartridge. Sure enough I changed our black cartridge and the grinding noise has stopped. No wonder the grinding noise was not happening all the time only when the black cartridge got low. Thanks for the help!

Printer made machine gun noise. will not print.

The print head is stuck - something has jammed it and the noise you are hearing is the carriage for the print head. Open the top and try moving the head by head sideways to see what has jammed it.

hello,

Please try to reset your printer to erase the present/current job that is not yet finished due to some interruption. So i recommend that if this problem occur please rest your printer by turning off and unplug all its wires then after few minutes plug it and turn it on to automatically reset its default setting and erase its job that is not finished.

Thanks

I am not happy with the service. A tech person's name came on the screen for about one minute then the message appeared that the session had ended. I got no help, can I get my money back (credit)?

One of the best solution that we can provide you is head cleaning. One of the effective method of Head cleaning is listed below.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on but not printing.
NOTE: You cannot clean the print head if the any of the cartridges are expended. Replace the appropriate ink cartridge before proceeding.
2. Load letter size paper.
3. Click on START. Click CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS AND FAXES. RIGHT-CLICK your EPSON STYLUS PRINTER ICON. Select PRINTING PREFERENCES from the drop-down menu. If this icon is not showing, select VIEW INSTALLED PRINTERS. Then RIGHT-CLICK the EPSON STYLUS PRINTER ICON. Select PRINTING PREFERENCES from the drop-down menu.
4. Click on the UTILITY or MAINTENANCE tab, then click on HEAD CLEANING.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to clean the printhead. Cleaning takes about 30 seconds, during which time the printer makes some noise and the power light flashes. Never turn off the printer while the power light is flashing, unless the printer has not moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes.
6. When the power light stops flashing click PRINT NOZZLE CHECK PATTERN and then click NEXT.
7. If the nozzle check pattern has no gaps in its lines, click FINISH. If the pattern has any gaps, click CLEAN to clean the printhead again.
8. If the situation continues after three cleaning cycles and nozzle checks, replace one of the affected ink cartridge(s).
9. Once the cartridge(s) has been replaced, please follow steps one through seven up to three times.
If the nozzle check still has gaps after you have run at least 3 consecutive cleaning cycles and replaced the affected ink cartridge(s) , your printer will require service.

Is the issue the same with a anormal text document or just with heavily colored docs? If the text doc gets printed fine, then it is an issue with print spooler and we might need to work on that. revert & lemme know
