Do you have a repair disk? Take a look at this procedure, at the bottom of page there is a link for a Repair Disk ISO download. Another solution is contact Sony Support, using your Serial Number, order a Factory Recovery DVD., usually about $20. That's the first thing I do when I purchase a new computer.

What does the laptop do when you push the on/off button? Fan spin? Led's blink? HDD activity? What? You get Nothing on the screen?

Unplug, remove battery, plug in, reboot. Do you get anything on the monitor at boot? If so try a system restore/recovery.

Forgot my windows 7 password

If you have forgotten your Windows 7 password and you are on a domain, you need to contact your system administrator to reset your password. If you are not on a domain, you can reset your Windows password by using a password reset disk or by using an administrator account.

To create a password reset disk, follow the steps mentioned in the Microsoft support page below:
(Note: Before starting with the steps in the following link, make sure that you have selected "Windows 7" in the drop-down menu at the start of the page).
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/create-password-reset-disk#1TC=windows-7

To reset your Windows password by using an administrator account, follow the steps mentioned in the Microsoft support page below:
(Note: Before starting with the steps in the following link, make sure that you have selected "Windows 7" in the drop-down menu at the start of the page).
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/reset-windows-password#1TC=windows-7

(Important: If you forget the administrator password and don't have a password reset disk or another administrator account, you won't be able to reset the password. If there are no other user accounts on the computer, you won't be able to log on to Windows and will need to re-install Windows.)

To know more about resetting Windows 7 password, refer to the following Microsoft support page:

I have want to setup Windows xp and windows 7 together .Meaning when start up computer have : Windows xp Windows 7 I try to setup two windows ,but i setup windows xp lost windows 7 and setup windows 7...

Not sure what you have done so far. You need to divide your hard drive into two sections. Install XP first on to one section. Then use a program to manage your computer start up, the one I use is called Easy BCD this is a free program and works great. Once you cut your hard drive and install XP make a copy of your start up partition. Install the Easy BCD program and make a back up again. Then Install Win 7. Then on the Win7 side install the Easy BDC program and set up the menu choices. I run a 3 way boot with XP and Ubuntu. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

Laptop is working fine until the screen goes black

The problem of black screen can also happen in other versions of the Windows. However, the symptoms and effects of the problems in all operating systems are almost same. For instance, when a user starts his Windows, everything goes fine. But when he logs into it there awaits a black screen instead of the normal desktop layout. An average computer user finds it very disturbing and has no clue how to fix Windows 7.
However, the best way to find a solution to this problem is to fix the registry errors in your computer which become the cause of all major Windows errors and crashes. The registry in Windows 7 is a very important component of the entire operating system and it stores information about the Windows settings. If these settings are not adjusted properly then there start to appear strange computer problems such as Windows 7 black screen.
