After turning the machine on, the pump doesn't seem to draw water, and pushing the brew buttons doesn't always result in running hot water through the brewing cup.

my machine has had about 1 months worth of use and now when I push the brew button it vibrates real hard and loud, then it says brewing and nothing happens. then after a few minutes it vibrates real hard and loud again. When done, it still hadden't taken any water from the reservoir. I have another machine and it draws from that reservoir just fine.

When I push the brew button, it sounds like it is trying to pull water through the system, but only a few tablespoons trickle out. I'm currently trying to descale the machine with white vinegar, but since it is only pouring out a small amount at a time, I stood and did this for about an hour and then quit.

Before you go and throw this out or pull it apart, the most probable cause is just that there is not enough water in the unit to allow it to heat. Air gets trapped in them and they need to be bled. At start up Keurig has a procedure for this (read the manual). Unfortunately after startup you can't use this procedure. Unplug the unit. Take the water container off and lean the machine over- even try to tip it upside down. Put the water container back and try it. Repeat several times if needed. If it does start your done. These units were built to have water in them all the time and this shouldn't have to be done again.

Addition to my post above: Make sure that you open and close the K-cup dispenser after leaning the unit. Also a little explanation:These units use vacuum pressure to pull the water through them, any air in the tubes or resevoir doesn't let the water through. The resevoir won't heat unless it is full of water. This is a safety measure on Kuerigs part.

All coffee-makers are provided with a thermal fuse located near the heating element and in series with the element itself.
This device is bullet-shaped with one lead connected to the case, the other insulated from it. If there was no protection of this kind, it could lead to a fire if the heating element fails to get turned off when reaching its design temperature and nearly impossible to buy as a replacement part.
These are not user replaceable and both the thermal fuse and the bimetal switch that controls the current for the heating element have become increasingly less reliable as they are made in China and since we have little alternative, we have to either keep track of our warranty or just throw it away when it fails.
The fuses can fail at any time and I have brought back three coffee-makers in a five day period, all with the same failure, before giving up and getting a refund.
Another type of failure, namely of the bimetal switch occurs over time and reveals itself by the ever-longer brew time that is unaffected by dissolving the lime in the system. The heat sensitive metal switch part becomes gradually less responsive causing the machine to just cough instead of pump as when new.  The last one I tossed had reached 40+ minutes per pot.

Set the timer to start brewing, i have always done this with no problem till now

Could be the brewing mechanism or the timer. However, if you get the action you describe on BREW NOW, I am inclined to think the brewer has failed.

After getting Replace Water Filter VEntilate display I replaced with Saeco Intenza water filter cartridge I have always used. However, unit does not move off this display after I press OK button. I have...

After replacing the filter in the tank, keep the button pressed; when the indicator light is flashing, then release the button.

Also at times, the gears in the brew drive assembly will not complete the cycle to the proper start position for different reasons. Some of the reasons are:

  1. Brew group jammed or blocked.
Note: A jammed or blocked brew group can happen when the brew group starts the cycle but doesn’t finish it.
  2. Either one of the micro-switches in the brew drive has gone bad.
  3. Brew drive motor failure.
  4. Broken teeth on either of the brew drive gears.
  5. Dirty brew group, covered by coffee grinds.
  6. Brew group or gears not lubricated.
  7. Connections to the board from brew drive assy., or motor have gone bad

Need help on using Timer feature on Melitta Mill & Brew

My second one just died, and I am very sad, but I can help you with your question.
First you have to set the time. Do that by pressing the hour or minute buttons until the time blinks. Then you can press the buttons to set the time. AM/PM are differiented by a red dot coming on in the time display. You can set that as preferred.
To set the timer feature, press the time button until the time blinks. Then use the hr and min button to set your timer setting. Pay careful attention to match the am/pm button with what you want.- if you don't you will be 12 hour off. To use the delay, set up the coffee pot, then push time. The red time indicator will light. If you are using ground coffee press the mill button. If it is lit, the mill will not turn on. This goes for either timed brewing or present tense brewing.
THe coffee pot has a timer - it will shut itself off after 1 hour. If you want to restart it, just push the mill button and press the on/off button.
