My m/b is Compaq BL30G and recently i had to reinstall winXP and it automatically installed audio driver (intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC`97) but now it gives a continues "beep" sound. I even tried...

First of all open your chassis and then reconnect all the connection and remove hard drive. If you have two RAM in your PC then remove one RAM Now plug the power supply and ON the machine. If it is giving beep sound then press esc again and again untill the beep sound could be stopped. If it is continuous then remove the RAM and fix the other one then ON the machine And if it is giving beep sound the press esc again and again. Before fixing the RAM you have to clean the RAM with a soft cloth smoothly. I hope this can work for you ! and beep sound is stopped then attach your HDD then ON the PC

I am looking for these drivers AC 97 audio device driver for a soltek motherboard I also only know abut this motherboard SL-75MRN-L Motherboard thanks hope you can help me

AC 97 sound card chip was made by Realtek. You can download the device driver from the website below. Just pick your operating system.
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#AC
The driver should work as long as you are using AC97 sound chip even for other motherboard brands using this chip.

My mother board is 82801 problem is no audio device

There could be a problem with the actual audio circuit (which is built in I believe, not sure) on the motherboard itself or the audio has been disabled in the Bios. Reboot your computer and access the bios software and check to see if it has been disabled. If so, enable it and save changes and exit. If not, the chip itself could be defective, you could simply buy a third party audio card and install it in an open slot on your motherboard.Follow the manufacturers installation instructions and Install the drivers that came with your card, (after booting up your OS), and that should take care of your problem. Good Luck!!

Hi
I have had some problems with some windows updates and the sound going out, I just reverted back to the original driver ac-97 drivers and blocked that update as to not download it again.
You can go to the intel site and try and find the right driver if you can't contact Intel and they will help you out.

Via ac 97

Hello!

You can find the latest VIA AC 97' Audio driver here:
Win XP:
http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2&OSID=1&CatID=1010
Win Vista:
http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2&OSID=36&CatID=2910

If you can tell me what motherboard and windows version you need the drivers for I might be able to be more precise.

Hope this helps!
