Question about Computers & Internet
Just started setting up yesterday by setting home page, a pattern for security, and synced my large library on bn nook. I finally had access again to my many grief books as my minor son was murdered and 1/10 would have been his birthday and spent lots of time at cemetery. After which of course the deep intense waves of grief set in and really enjoyed being finally back to my favorite grief books that help a lot. However, the tablet seems to have set up it's own password as it's asking for one and I didn't set one up - only a pattern. Please get right back to me on what to do as really need those books for at least a couple weeks solid before I'll calm down.HELP now!!!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If you have the recovery CD, then put that in the drive, reboot the laptop and make sure you boot to the CD. The recovery process will start up and you can restore the laptop to it's factory settings. Make sure you have all of your documents, music, etc. backed up.

SOURCE: remove deep freeze
Try deleting it manually, go into safemode with cmd prompt only.
it will induce an error next time it runs, but you can regedit.exe your way out of that one

well if its the boot password you have hope,ALT+F10 on start is supposed to get you to the recovery manager,if you cant get there restore factory default,if its the windows operating system password, you can try to type administrator in the user name and leave the password blank, sometimes your able to get in on the built in administrator acct.,if that doesnt work,,its not easy you can download password recovery programs and try that,if its the boot lock password you can take it apart and remove the bios battery on the mother board, remove main battery ,unplug power set something on the power button heavy enough to hold it down and wait, the longer the better, one day ,maybe two, reassemble and it should be back to factory default, if its under warranty send it to acer, nowif your able to get past the boot password and the windows password is still holding you up you can one-time boot to a windows disc and reinstall new copy, warning! you will loose everything on the computer, but at least you can use it agian hope this helps, aloha from maui todd0708
