Trying to replace timer on Kenmore 700 washing machine (model 110.28727200). The existing timer is an Invensys model W10129602. Where can I find replacement or substitute parts?

Here is the timer to order. To remove the knob on the old timer, from the back of the timer there is the knob pin that you push in and it will release the the knob.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

I have a GE top load washer model #WJRR4170GWW. When I attempted to change the load size from large to super, the knob broke and came off the control panel. Now there is just a hole on the control...

themobilian_130.jpgThe new part has a clip in it that holds it to the shaft of the timer. Installing it is so easy. Just slip the new knob on the shaft of the timer. IF the shaft is still on the timer. Did you mean the shaft came out of the timer? In that case you would need a new timer.

How do you get the dial off of the timer so you can change it out with a new one. I tried pulling it off but it will not budge. my model # is nav2335aww

On the backside of the timer is a stick that slides inside the hollow timer shaft. When it is shoved all the way in it spreads the tip and retains the timer knob. Back the rod out a about a half inch and the knob will come off.bd28a28.jpg

The washer does not automatically change cycles. I have to turn the nob to make the washer change cycles

under most circumstances if the timer knob does not move under its own power there is either some striped gears within the timer or the timer motor has gone bad on you.
however some of the newer units control the timer knob movement by a computer control board. a complete model number would be most helpful.

Timer knob spins freely

check the back of your knob to see if there is a crack. where the shaft of the timer goes if so call the parts store and order a new knob. Will need your model number when you call them. If its not the knob then its your timer.

Gets stuck in cycle I have to turn the knob to get it to continue. The machine is the heavy duty large capacity I can't find a model #

Looks like you need a timer. If the model number is really gone there should be a part number n the timer. look everywhere around the door/lid and even on the back. Eric

Kenmore Washer, Loose Timer Knob

There should be a spring clip that holds the timer knob on. It or the timer knob may need replaced. Here is a picture of the timer knob and the spring clip. Sure hope this helps and best wishes.

Kenmore Series 80 Washer timer knob spins

Something in the timer came apart. Timer needs replaced. When in good working order, the timer should ONLY ever be turned clockwise..Reversing this could break it.
