Unable to send or receive messages for the Copy Systems - Destin account. A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to send data to the server. Server: 'pop.embarqmail.com' Windows Live Mail Error

The SMTP configuration may be off. Double check with each account that fails. Example - mail.domain_name.com.

There may be a port blockage as well, but less likely. SMTP is 587

What is the POP 3 address to send email using instead of using wi

You simple CANNOT. Windows Mail no longer supports the HTTP servers used by Yahoo! and other web-based e-mail providers. Windows Mail does not permit the use a Web-based (HTTP) e-mail account on a computer that is running Windows Vista.
For an alternative, use Windows Live Mail instead of Windows Mail

loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); Windows Live Mail is an e-mail program that you install on your computer. Windows Live Mail stores messages on your computer. This means that you can access, read, and compose e-mail messages even when you are not connected to the Internet.

Windows Live Mail works with popular Web-based e-mail services such as Hotmail, AOL mail, Google mail, and Yahoo! mail. Windows Live Mail is built to automatically configure many popular e-mail services.

Cannot download executable files.

Ok, the first thing to check is whether or not the system is infected.
Goto http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/default.htm and choose the Beta edition for Vista.

Follow the on-screen instructions and let this run (it will take a while, so you may want to put a film on). Keep an eye on it, as it may ask you for some actions. If nothing bad is found or after cleaning this still happens then please follow these next steps.

Did you install Service Pack 1 via Windows Update?

This has caused problems with alot of programs and systems, as it doesn't always install all the bits that your system needs. You need to uninstall the Service Pack. Please use this link to find out how:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948537/en-us

Now the thing is, you really need the Service Pack. Once you have uninstalled it and restarted the computer, you need to ignore any Windows Update/Automatic Update messages that may pop up for the moment.

You need to download and install the complete Service Pack 1. Just click on this link and press download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b0c7136d-5ebb-413b-89c9-cb3d06d12674&DisplayLang=en

As this is the complete Five Language pack, 434MB, it may take awhile depending on your internet speed. I would recommend this anyway, as it would sort out any other bugs/problems that you may not have noticed.

Anyway, have fun, and let me know how you get on.

First let me explain. Each browser handles scripts (the stuff that make up web pages and stuff) differently. You have Notify Me of Script Errors turned "ON" on your computer, so you will be notified of every error or warning - even if it works fine.

FIX: To fix this, Go to your Control Panel (START > Control Panel) and, in Classic View (you can find that on the left panel), click Internet Options. In the tabs on the top, click "Advanced", and then find the category "Browsing". CHECK "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer), and "Disable Script Debugging (Other)". UNCHECK "Display a notification about every script error".

Click OK, and then messenger should work fine. If it does it again, restart your computer, then it will work fine.
