Hello here is a youtube video:

It shows you how to remove the graphic card, and install the new.

When the install is done, you have to install the driver for it.

Good luck

A compaq sr1000 need to know what no VGA input means. Will no allow my computer to come on

Welcome to FixYa

No VGA input means that the computer is not detecting video input from the video card. Usually you get this message if the video card of your system is not functional, the VGA cable is unplugged or the VGA cable is defective. To try and remedy this problem try these.

Check if you can hear sound coming from the system. If the video card is functioning then you should here the startup audio from windows.

Check the VGA connection on the back of the system. The VGA cable looks like thismalups_6.jpg

Please note that the VGA cable has two screws, make sure that both are fastened correctly

If the VGA cable is plugged in and you cant hear audio coming from the system. Then this would likely be caused by a defective video card on your computer

Hope this helps

Well i connect the vga cable to the sreen and my computer but when i turn tht computer on the screen stays black ...i need help!!

Hi Omar,

Do you have a built-in vga port on your desktop as well as a video card with a VGA slot? Make sure you are plugging it into the correct one. If there are two you will need to specify in the BIOS to disable the built-in VGA port or use the other one.

Also, if you only have one and the vga port is on a video card, turn off and unplug power to the computer then make sure the video card is fully seated in the correct slot.

Do you here a sequence of beeps? If your computer is beeping, your motherboard manual includes a list of "BEEP codes" that indicate what problem your motherboard is reporting which could be memory, cpu or video related.

My system was open in black screen.Because i have changed the true colour in my desktob is 1024* to rectify this problem....

If you are able to boot into Windows press the F8 key before the Windows loading animation shows up to boot into safe mode. You can then change your resolution or uninstall the drivers (if needed). You can then restart from safe mode. If you cannot get into windows turn your PC and monitor off and unplug both from their power sources for 5 minutes. You would also want to disconnect the VGA or DVI cable going from your monitor to your graphics card. After 5 minutes with everything unplugged you can plug in your DVI or VGA cable back into your graphics card and then plug power back into your PC and monitor.

Monitor has fast moving color bands. Unplugging has not helped, restarting computer has not helped

looks like to video card is on its last leg now.
if your computer has built in vga port, transfer the vga cable from the video card and see if the problem disappear. Or better if you have extra video card replace the old one and see if the problem remains.

Most likely its the video card problem, you can also try fixing the vga cable connected on your video card and monitor. It has two screws on both end that need to be fix.

let me know if this help

P5p800-mx display problem but power on for this what can i do?

Hi dear, be a professional if you are not, so first of all you should check the RAM(s) and replace them or check it another PC. Secondly, you should check VGA card or graphic card. I hope your problem will be solve.

In the end or last, put away of unplugged RAM(s), VGA card or graphic card if it is not builtin, unplugged all its data cables and main power supply cable and other power connections (with hard disk and cd-rom). Wait for 2 hours and then replace or joint or binding again. It is most possible your problem could be solve if there is problem with your hardware including RAM(s) and graphic or VGA card.

Good Luck

My HP Pavillion will not load windows. Goes to a blank screen. It will run in safe mode though. Please help

...look like that your VGA card had a problem...unplug the power cord from your CPU and then...if you know how to open the case of the CPU then you can try to take out your VGA card from the the VGA pin with soft and smooth cloth...then put it back to the motherboard...and also try to take out your memory from the motherboard and use the same as you cleaning the VGA and put it bank in the motherboard...and then try to turn in on again...if it's still a problem then try to use your VGA card to other motherboard and test it...if the problem still persist then you have to buy a new VGA card...
