Why do I keep getting "force close"

Hi there,

I'm not quite sure why are we getting this "force close", cause its app dependent. However i can suggest you the following

Most often, force close messages are caused by the app accessing corrupted data. For one reason or another, the app expects a certain bit of data to be available and can't access it. Since the program isn't programmed or "told" what to do in such situations, the result is a force close. In these cases, you can usually clear the problem by going to "Settings > Apps > app name > Clear data". If doing this doesn't work, you may want to contact the developer of the app for advice.

Keeps showing lg screen and flashing

Android is corrupted. You need to factory reset it. Hold volume down and home buttons while turning it on. You can let go of those buttons once the screen changes to the Android loading icon.

This will erase everything from your phone - so good idea to keep things backed up for incase it happens again.

Near as I can figure, this happens when:
- phone battery is allowed to die
- pull battery from phone when it is still shutting down (hard to tell when it's finish)

Google Play Store constantly Force Closes, how do I fix it?

Even still to this day, it happens.
I've figured a temporary solution to fix this issue.

1. Go to settings > apps > manage apps and make sure you are under all apps tab.
2. Find Google play store and force close it. Then select uninstall updates.
3. Go back and scroll down to find Market Updater?... I think is what it is called and select force close.

From now on, only use the Market. The Google Play Store icon may disappear from the apps/app drawer... which is exactly what you want.

Problem solved.

If it ever happens again and Play Store comes up again, just repeat the process. As I said, I believe this fix is only TEMPORARY.

After i download a new app,the system asks me to 'force close' even though the app is certified.my phone is htc G1

Dude, That happens when you have a few programs running in the back ground that are slow to close. They are usually sound or scenes that you have running to enjoy your computer time a bit more. They will close w/o you forcing them it just takes longer, patience brother, patience. If you have nothing running and the G1 keeps it up, then it is not set up to download certain types of apps ( they hate competition ) and this you can fix by going into the OS and changing the settings for unknown programs.

I have a new iMac all in one dual core 3.06GHz 4GB RAM..500GB HD memory....and when I shut down it will not close but keeps saying to force quit my Lexmark printer so it can shut down all the way? Why...

Your printers' app is keeping your Imac from shutting down. You have to quit the printers' app first then shutdown. Some outside vendors' apps (as Lexmark - has a function that prevents you from shutting down computer in case you have stuff printing) You can change that in your Lexmark preferences. And no it won't hurt the IMac, it's just a hassle until you change the printers' preferences.
