Question about Zanussi ZWF1430W Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Zunussi zwf1437w Keeps stopping during programmes

Keeps stopping mid programmes - especially cotton wash (example stopped with 1hour 13 minutes left on a syn 60 cycle, now wont do anything). If I switch it off then back on sometimes it will start it again. Washing still wet and soapy after full cycle. Sometimes the machine tries to spin then won't, other times its fine, this machine is less than 2 years old but is used most days.

We have checked the filter and checked that it is draining and it is. We put the machine on a very hot wash empty as the manual recommended, it ran through the time, ended, and then showed the full time left agian - ie - 1.58 instead of 0. plus the soapy water was still in machine. So I put it on rinse and spin and it all drained away so I could open it.

Just to give me an idea - how much is a pump? cant see any thing stuck, very tempted to just buy a new machine, i have two little people and the washing is mounting up at a scary speed.

This sounds like a drainage problem. First thing is to check the filter behind the flap on front of machine.
Please post back your findings for further assistance.
Thankyou for using Fixya.

The result you have posted confirms that there is a drainage issue.

The soapy water should have been drained long before the end of the wash. There may be something restricting the flow of water between the drum and pump (usually a sock or similar item ).your machine will only allow a certain time for each function to be performed. The next step is to check inside the pipe from the drum to the pump. If nothing is found you will need to replace the pump.

Hoover hpe 236. water not draining, stops mid cycle, lights flash

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Hope this is of some help to you.

WASHING CYCLE STOPS AFTER A MINUTE

Can you skip through the programme to drain? Press pause button. then press start to move the lights down to the empty cycle. leave to finish.

If you have already tried this, I can explain how to put machine into engineer test mode, which will then give out a fault code to identify problem.
