Sharp DV-NC 200 (DVD) Panasonic TX-32LXD700A (TV)

Hi Benimur
Saw one of your earlier postings and was wondering if you can help? I am in Australia and I have a Sharp DV-NC 20 (DVD) Player and a Panasonic TX-32LXD700A. (TV)
Normally it plays dvd's fine. However some DVDS from the US and UK won't play. Just wondering if there is anything I can do about this?  Does the DVD player need a pin number for the other regions?
Many thanks. Chris I can't play DVDs from the US or UK. Can you help me with region free code please?

Sharp DV-NC 200 (DVD) Panasonic TX-32LXD700A (TV)

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Unfortunately, if the Sharp DV-NC 20 was bought in Australia, it would not allow any mods/hacks to make it region free. Sorry. Additionally, even if the Sharp could be made to change regions, the Panasonic TX-32LXD700A uses a Tuner Type Integrated SD/HD DVB-T 7MHz Australia, PAL B/G. it is (again) hardware limited to the PAL Colour System (Region 2).

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Pls be informed that due to my current rank and rating, even a Helpful would be detrimental to my status. Should this solution not address your concern, it would be appreciated if you could just not rate it at all. Cheers.

KLH DVD 221

Hi,

My sincerest apologies. I was not made aware that you posted a direct request for assistance. It was only by chance that I saw your post.

To your concern should you still require information; most units would have a yellow, red and white connectors commonly called RCA. What is required then is a triple RCA to RCA connector as shown below. The yellow is normally connected to the video, while the red & white are for the R & L of the audio. An identical set would be on the rear of the TV unit henceforth the connection would be OUT from the KLH DVD 221 to the IN of the TV.

In some instances, a single cable is used to connect some models to the TV. This is called an RF patch cord and would look sonething like below. This would come form the RF OUT of the player to the RF/CABLE/ANT IN of the TV. Pls make sure that the style/form fits your units.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Sharp DV-RW340 Compatible Discs

I have had great success with Dynex Model DX-DVD-R25.  They are specifically: 4x  120min.  4.7gb. It's a spindle of 25.   The UPC Code is 00603 10116.  Now I'm searching for more myself!   These discs have worked well for me and play great in other DVD players, as well.  If you find 'em... please post it here!
