Question about Epson Stylus D88 InkJet Photo Printer
THE INK CHARGE AND PAPER FEED LIGHTS ARE FLASHING.
MY PRINTER DID NOT CHARGE THE INKS AFTER I REPLACED A CARTRIDGE , INSTEAD IT ASKED ME TO REPLACE THE INKS AGAIN AND THE LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLASH, PREVENTING ME FROM PRINTING OUT.
This is usually caused by a problem with the chip(s) on the new cartridge.
Check that the chips are clean, and are correctly installed on the cartridge(s) (some can be knocked out of alignment and thus not connect properly).
Also check for any damage to the tiny wires in the printhead where the cartridge sits.. These can also become soiled with fluff, etc... Be VERY careful if you try to clean these as they are very delicate and if broken off you will have a broken printer.
Last thing is of course to check you have the correct cartridges... A common one with the D88 is to have C86 cartridges which are not compatible at all (different' chips!).
Hope that helps.
