Re: No problem but what is timer save on wd440
Quick wash is normally used for clothes that are lightly soiled, and do not require a full wash programme,it has nothing to do with the amount of washing in the m/c.
Time saver cuts down on the actual length of the prog, by approx 1/3, there by saving time, again you would normally use this for washing lightly soiled clothing, it is only available on progs B-D and G

The rinse is supposed to start during the spin...it's what removes most of the soap from your clothing! The spin forces the water through the clothes, flushing all but a small amount of the detergent away. The rinse cycle itself is more to remove solid debris that may have become trapped in the folds of cloth. It does so by floating and agitating the clothes.
The quick wash cycle is only for things that aren't soiled much, that you need to be done fast. It's not for everyday washing, just for things that maybe need no more than a freshening up. It makes it faster by cutting corners.
Hotp[oint Aquarius WD440 washer /dryer - Has a distinct smell from clothes when washed like stagnant water is lying somewhere in the machine, It has all benn stripped down but cannot find anything wrong. Whats the solution????
If you just got it I would call the manufacture it comes with a 1 year warranty might be a board or sensor issue there are sensor's that tell how much weight is in there so it knows how fast to spin the drum thats where the power saving features come in.
MAKE SURE YOUR OUTLET HOSE GOING TO THE DRAIN IS NOT BENT THIS CAN CAUSE THE WATER NOT TO EXIT PROPERLY, THE RINSE CYCLE IS RUN BY THE TIMER, THE TIMER CALCULATES THE TIME FOR THE SIZE OF THE LOAD, IF THE HOSE IS RESTRICTED, THE WATER WILL NOT EVACUATE THE WASHER IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME GIVEN BY THE TIMER, AS A CONSEQUENCE YOUR CLOTHING MAY BE DRIPPING WHEN YOU REMOVE IT OFF THE MACHINE,
press and hold on off button till the display panel lights up.Then press and hold the on/off button and the start /cancel button together. You will now reset the washing machine settings. And just pick your cycle again
LG washer timer displays are only estimates. The computer is looking at several sensors to determine how quickly the clothes are getting cleaned and how hot the water is. If the computer determines that things are moving quickly, the timer is reset to complete the wash cycles quicker thus saving energy.
yes a quick wash is for coloured clothes that have been worn once or twice and dont have bad stains on them. This quick wash will take between 30 and 50 mins to do a wash and is the best programme for the clothing that I have discribed ie: worn 1or2 times and no stains will save you on electric and water peter
